Was pretty badass watching you pull on those other bikes last night! Glad we could get a run in too :) Things borderline retarded lol

I haven't had that much fun in a long long time. I kind of lost perspective on how fast my car actually was. We'll have to do it again some time for sure!

I said hi to Bryce and your roomy, but didn't meet you. Nice seeing the car in action.

It was a blast, too bad I didn't get some vids. I rarely let it stretch its legs on the street like that so I wasn't too prepared lol

Take it to the ass whooping thread and let us know how you did.

I don't have vids unfortunately just 2 against Josh's Evo. Brads gopro was facing the other way when we ran. Not sure if the other bikes I raced had them or not either, kind of a fail on my end, I even forgot tools :/ lol

Re: Troy's Evo

Finally got on the dyno this year. Same set up as last year minus the Intake manifold. My friend let me know someone cancelled at DB so I was able to sneak in. It went fairly smoothly, minus some vacuum lines popping off even though I had them zip tied. The car was being difficult and wouldn't idle for shit most of the time, not sure why, but it's always kind of had a shitty idle. Boost was 40 psi dropping to ~33 psi.

I was pumped it made this much. I was expecting barely over 800 but this just blew my mind

We're so lucky to have such good tuners here in MN

Wonder what it would look like with that overlaid from when the shortblock was in my car.

Re: Troy's Evo

Yours spooled a little faster and had more power around 6000-7000, his looked like it would have better top end power, if he ran as high of boost as you were.

Shane settled it. Troy needs E98 and the boost cranked up so we can see how the same shortblock does with different setups.

Shane was saying electronic boost should help that. It'd be interesting to see if we can still run close to the same timing up top with more boost

Haha, No e98 for me I don't think, i'm too nervous to try and push man boost like that, only way I might be able to touch your car if I go to a bigger turbo. Hopefully this little bit of lag and less torque will keep my trans together

6766? 6870? 7175? 7285?

I'd probably try the 6870 if they would make it in a V Band Exhaust housing. I called them when they released it, and they said they were planning on trying it out, whatever happened with that I guess i'm not too sure. I'm not sure if a bigger turbo would even help me at only 40 psi, this thing seems to be right in its sweet spot from 36-40

Boss power! Are you still planning to go to the shootout?

Realtalk: Don't chase for more, until you're sure you can't do any better driving the setup you have.

Eventually, you'll get to the point where you strip teeth off of the gears in the trans like I did. And that sucks.

I wanted too, a couple friends I was going to go with ditched so I'll just put it on the agenda for next year

Yeah, I'm perfectly fine with what it has now. I have that other caged shell I could totally gut and throw this set up in if I get bored.

Is this still on the 6266? If so, that's crazy power out of a 62mm!!
