After you go to bemidji you should take a trip up to canada, its the longest stretch of straight road I've ever been on, you could fall asleep at the wheel and still be on the road when you wake up. But you could do some high speed testing. :) its a two hour trip each way though.

I dunno, he'll be apprehensive due to the events of the past few cruises, and at the same time he's just coming back from a vacation up North today so who knows if he wants to take another one this weekend. I'll ask but I'm pretty sure I know the answer.

Tell him not to drive like an asshat on public roads and he'll be fine :) I think enough people have learned that lesson over these past few cruises that it won't be an issue going forward. This will also be heavily stressed during the driver's meeting.

I believe the plan is for Goodhart and me to take the lead and set the pace in the GTO (since he did the bomber run and is the only one with route experience).

I have serious doubts about the Drinking League being the part that convinces my dad to come, I've never seen him put down more than 2 beers in one night. I'll ask, but I'm fairly certain I know what the answer will be.

As for rides, I'm being picked up by Hughes to head to the meeting spot, and I'm fairly certain I don't want to be stuck in the back of a GTO for the entire drive, so I may take you up on that offer, Shawn.
