Give it a try, at this point anything is worth a shot before paying DB to rip it all apart again.

Well I was simply assuming the power bleeder deal had more force or something to bleed it better.

I don't think bleeding will help, we spent a few hours bleeding it yesterday. And this is after DB did it like 3 times already for hours...I just don't see it being a bleeding issue.

Isn't there something with the SSP V2/3 where it won't properly bleed unless done with a power (pressurized) bleeder? I wonder if that statement is valid, and if so, if it could also apply to the Magnus?

Maybe, that was what I was thinking that the pressurized bleeder could somehow get the air bubble out of the MC if that is the cause, but I don't know enough about it.

I think I need to talk with Danny about this before I do anything.

I wasn't planning on doing a whole lot tonight with the Vikings being and the fact I need to do laundry and pack.

But maybe I will try one last time.

The two of us working on a car would be hilarious. If Dave wasn't out of town most of the week I'd suggest getting Swifty to supervise trying the Motive.

Car is on the way to DB now...AAA discount as its a haul from New Brighton to DB so its not free, but $80 isn't terrible. I hate to spend money on towing but driving the car there wasn't going to happen, it was too risky imo.

So i guess we will see what they find.

I'd get taht power bleeder dropped off to DB then. Some cars do require power bleeders because of the way their systems are plumbed. Just like some vehicles need to be bleed with the car running..which, you might also wanna try. It's been a little while since I've done one this way, but I remember the last SUV I did this way, it wouldn't really bleed at all off, but once it was running it would shoot that fluid out, along with bubbles...

Well I am guessing DB will try those things quick for me before they do the harder stuff like removing the master cylinder.

I guess we will see.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog

DB got a hold of Marco today at Magnus and its final, Magnus is sending me a new master cylinder...I am the lucky guy to get a failed one:(

Marco said he thinks I have one with a failed internal seal...Marco said he has seen this once ever so I am just that lucky. I am going to try and get my car running this Friday for the cruise this weekend, but we will see.

He's picking up mine tomorrow night. It's just a matter of if DB has any issues getting it installed on Friday.

Just got back home after a long day of flying then driving from plymouth (work) to Lomker's in St. Paul to DB to drop off the MC lomker gave me.

I pray DB gets this in tomorrow, Danny said he would try his best, all I can ask.

is that MC hard to get at? you could always do it yourself. Idk how easy/hard it is on a 10.

Kinda yea, its buried really far behind the ECU bracket and shit tucked way up in the fender area. I can show you sometime.

I could maybe do it, but seeing as how I am having problems, I just want it done right.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog

Some good news I guess, minus the fact I need to spend more money.

They are wrapping up my car now and bleeding it again with the new MC in there. Magnus basically told Danny to order a new MC from Mitsu (evo 9 one) and they would reimburse him.

They took apart my evo 9 one and found the inner seal was ripped as Marco at Magnus said, which he has seen once ever, twice now I guess :(

So good news is the MC was the problem, so some relief that it won't happen again with the new one, or should I say odds are low.

And more good news the car will be ready for this weekend :)
