Well, this is Trisha. Mark had surgery Monday...so that means we are not going to make it now. Going to be calling to cancel room, so if anyone needs a room, it will be available....or let me know by Tuesday & I won't cancel it. Hope you all have fun....wish we could make it!

They got snow on the north shore, but I can't see any way there could be any left on Saturday. Hell, it will probably be gone tomorrow.

Got a decent amount done in the last couple of days:

• Finished replacing 100% of the bushings in the rear subframe, including mustache bushings
• Added active toe eliminator from s1ngletracker (perfect fit, btw)
• Added a RM rear sway bar
• Added poly bushings to the front sway bar (this was a bitch)
• Installed Ingalls adjustable upper control arms
• Installed new clutch (went with 6 puck unsprung over 4 puck this time)
• Replaced the power steering rack with Kevin/Mondale's low mile unit -added new end links
• Re-installed engine and transmission
• Fabbed new intercooler pipes for short route to clear my whale penis intake pipe
• Fixed my propeller shaft (it met a train track in Minneapolis last fall)

All that's left is to add fluids and toss the suspension back on and I am read to rock the casbah.

I'd like to note, I am bit apprehensive driving this new setup as I am used to employing fairly strong amounts of trail braking to initiate rotation on corner entry. I suspect I am going to over rotate a few times getting use to the new setup :(

*E85 ALERT*

E85 stations may be a problem! Calling around to stations listed online as having E85...turns out they do NOT. We can not guarantee E85 stations will be available between the meeting spot and Duluth Sunday morning on the trek home. What this means is you MUST carry enough E85 to go 315 miles, assuming you arrive at the Saturday morning meeting spot fully topped off. Scheides plans to carry 10 gallons in his trunk which will be more than plenty for him, but please be conservative when doing the math and make sure you have enough. We may encounter some stations along the way, but I can NOT guarantee it.

I also did some phone checking and it looks like Kracka is correct. The Cenex in Ashland use to, but discontinued it due to little demand.

It looks like the closest place is Superior WI, which is about 65 miles away.

I will bring 10 gallons as well of which I'll need 4 of them to get to Superior.

I can drive to TX and back on E85. What's the route? 35 up to Duluth? Then over to Ashland? I don’t plan on bringing enough e85 for 300+ miles. Fuck that. A little more research is required, I drove to Ely this Jan on corn. Hopefully not too many stations quit selling it.

Typically the route is backroads as those are the "fun" roads. That being said I have no idea how we are going about getting there.

I didn't realize that it’s only 143 miles between E85 in Blane and E85 in Duluth on 35, easy. No problem. I'm going to bring 10 gallons as well in the event of other routes home or getting there.
