FYI, Jake just bought a Talon from a guy with a bad engine. I really hope one of the other engines from this thread aren't going in that car!

That talon is going to be his girlfriends car. he's planning on just putting in a stock motor. I wouldn't worry about it.

So did everybody get their stuff back but me? Jake ordered my injectors and even sent me the tracking number to prove he actually bought em. But then he quit talking to me again...shucks

Did you order this stuff with a bank card? Like a credit or check card? If you did, just call the bank and they will help you. I just went through this with SLS. My 4 month old Check Card purchase has been fully refunded to me, and you'd prolly get the same.

still trying to deal with this jackass. People like Jake are the reason why you can't trust anybody any more. I guess he is talking with brian(from cali.). He hasn't answered a phone call, text, or e-mail in a month from me. He loves this crap and doesn't care about anybody but himself. Its going to be hard if I go up there not to want to beat him to within an inch of his life!

I wrote him an e-mail which had a contract I made up. I asked him if it looked good and if I signed the contract saying that he wasn't responsible for the engine once it was shipped. He hasn't got back to me.

I had Jake do a 6-bolt with Ross pistons, Eagle rods, stock crank, and all the parts for the 7-bolt to 6-bolt conversion. originally was going to have him put my 2g head on since it got rebuilt last year, but since i can't trust him with a $1,600 part I said just send my block and I'll put it on. He said that that wasn't part of the deal and he wasn't going to continue if i didn't send the head out. Thats the reason for a contract saying he is not responsible.

Jake if you read this please get back to me. I sent you a contract via e-mail I want to know if that will work for you?

Ok thing is how long have you been dealing with this now? It is pretty obvious you aren't going to ever see your shit without some form of legal action. Start the process of sending a certified letter and start dealing with it the way that will get some action. Of course he is going to throw a little morsel out there for you every once in a while. All the better to fool you into thinking you might actually see something. And you know damn well he is reading this thread too. Hi Jake. So, either man up and do something legally or just face the facts that you aren't going to see engines or injectors or whatever. And make sure enough people out there know about this dip shit that he can't work in the DSM world anymore. I don't care how good the guy is with dsm's. Eventually if you keep screwing people over you yourself will take it in the ass.

Thought, I'd post an update. The contract for the shop expired on Dec 1st, this year. Tim and I were completely moved out by Nov 1st. All that I had there was a couch and my dog for the month of November, because Tim and I forgot we pre-paid the last month of rent. So Jake (VogelPerformance.com) was kicking it there all by himself free of charge for an extra month. So officially all ties between have been cut off and we ended everything on a pretty bad note to say the least. I haven't been there since Nov 30th when I handed in my keys, but have driven by a few times.

Jake seems to still be in the shop. Rumor has it that he is starting a new buiness with a partner from a nearby town thanks to a fairly substantial business loan and the massive amounts of expertise in mechanics, fabrication & tuning experience that he posseses. I have heard stories about a lifts, dyno, welders, truck, big trailers,etc.

I am really itching to start a new thread and call it "Fuck Jake" and share my lovely one year experience with this douchebag, in effort to spread the good word and help promote his new business venture ...

I knew they weren't because Vassil had helped people get into the shop to check on shit. He is a good guy and felt bad about the shit Jake does. It will be interesting if he is trying to start up a bigger shop.

I agree. Reading some of Jakes post on the DSMlink boards it seamed like he was still leading people that he was a reputable shop. No more people need to lose money to Him.

After months of waiting and countless unanswered phone calls/text messages/aim messages I finally got what was mine! I set a deadline and we agreed he would have a tracking number to my by the 31st. They came in the mail today so I can finally relax. Just thought I'd let you guys know. Thanks a ton for all your guys help!

wow, I've set a lot of deadlines with him, and NOTHING.... he stopped answering my phone calls again. I just want my motor already, even the stock motor back would be more helpful than this shit. Haven't driven my car since september 06, its been TOO long,.... this is rediculous,...

For some of you who don't know I am an administrator on mnsportcompacts.net as well. I was doing my daily checkup of the forum and see a thread in the Trash Bin, moved there by another moderator because we don't allow advertising to non-paying businesses.

Yea the site is the same as it was before he just changed some stuff around. And that car on the front is his car and has been up there a while. I think I'd be funny for us to all go down to the dyno day and say hello and let all the newbies know about this guy lol.
