I was on the journey to 10's long ago, I ended up at 11.9. I wish I would've run my setup when I was making 520awhp at DB, but by then I didn't really care anymore. It's true that it's harder to get a higher horse car off the line and shifted smoothly down the track. Although I never used NLTS and mostly granny shifted it as well, because everybody else was blowing trannies left and right, all I ever did is blow up a clutch and a xfer case. Funny thing is now that I'm back at a 16g stock appearing car, I'll probably run faster than I ever did if I finish it in time for the track. Technology has come a long ways since 1999.

lol @ this thread.

It's definitely on between me and Murlo :). But it's more of a "friendly on-the-same-team" kind of "on". I don't really care if he'll beat me or not, I'm rooting for both of us.

Re: What does it take to run a 10? 500whp@DB, practice, or both? Neither?

Ok, well at least it seems people have decided that 500whp is enough power, with power being 1/10th of the fight for a ten though and Skill being like 1/2 and weight/traction being the other parts :)

Can i be on team Jacob? I think he will win too...

I'll do freeway pulls with you :)

With the honda like powerband, the X is a blast on the street at speed :) Even with the extra weight.

Yup, so 275 wide tires should help, but then it is even more weight to spin.

The rims might be the first to go...or buy a second cheap ass light set with some slicks and AMS small brake kit :)
