Re: Spyder in the making
I believe this is my favorite Spyder I have seen so far. Just looks amazing.

Re: Spyder in the making
Worked on it a little bit yesterday. Trial fit of the Tial BOV and catch can. I couldn't find my black coupler so I had to use a blue one. Need to order more t bolt clamps also. I plan to have a one piece upper intercooler piping in the future so it doesn't look so messy with all of the couplers.

Re: Spyder in the making
Another box showed up at the door.
Powdercoated red shaved valve cover with 1/2 NPT threads. Planning to either powdercoat it wrinkle black or white. Which one? http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...z/DSC00602.jpg Water pipe with -16AN. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...z/DSC00609.jpg New front wheel bearing/hub. I will be installing ARP extended wheel studs on all 4 corner. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...z/DSC00610.jpg |
Re: Spyder in the making
I love the engine bay! I think white would look pretty cool or wrinkle black would too.
I've got some wrinkle white powder I'd sell cheap or trade for something dumb if you're interested. |

Re: Spyder in the making
I would say powdercoat it black. White would be hard to keep clean, and the black one now looks good. Keep it the same.
|
Re: Spyder in the making
White! It's already shaved so clean up would take like 5 seconds.

Re: Spyder in the making
Anyone have any pictures of wrinkle white valve cover? I have yet to see someone with one.
Went back to visit the spyder. She's slowly getting some more color in the bay. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...z/IMG_3312.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...z/IMG_3318.jpg |
Re: Spyder in the making
Finally after a year and half i was able to order my new oem coilpack. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...ps7977da61.jpg
With the house, fixing up my beaters, and tools for work, it's been hard to buy parts for the dsm. I will attempt to get this thing started again. |
Re: Spyder in the making
This thing doesn't run?
|
Re: Spyder in the making
I had it idling about 2 years ago. Still havent attempt to remove that broken bolt on the lower control arm which is why she didnt move. But now with all of the equipment at work I can try once I can get her towed there. Since then, a buddy of mine borrowed my old coilpack and I swapped out to a SMIM. Somehow lead to no spark on #2 and #3. Which means more new oem parts.

Re: Spyder in the making
holy crap, how much a new oem coil pack run ya?
|
Re: Spyder in the making
182 shipped from jnztuning. I will not settle for any oem aftermarket replacement.
|
Re: Spyder in the making
God damn. Why not just a good used one? lol
|
Re: Spyder in the making
I just gave away 5 or so in the last month of oem ones. Lol.
|
Re: Spyder in the making
I've got tons of new oem parts into it from nuts, bolts, clips, plates, gaskets, etc. That's just how I roll. Lol.
|
Re: Spyder in the making
She uses OEM oil filters too. Lol
