Re: What motor would you choose? To put in a Z car.
LS6 intake, shorty headers (which you end up needing to make it fit), exhaust , big cam, and heads netted 420whp out of the LQ9. Guys look for the lq9 heads because they drop the compression and make it easy to boost. The heads I bought were ls6 ones so I could get NA power.

^hmmm.
That would be sweet. I am sure the thing would stay NA for a long time. Now i need to make some money. |
Re: What motor would you choose? To put in a Z car.
I vote LS1. I am all for the Viper motor but not sure it would fit (someone done this???). The engine bay on my viper seems huge and the motor hardley fits.

Re: What motor would you choose? To put in a Z car.
built rb30 using the RB30 block (not a RB26)
|
Re: What motor would you choose? To put in a Z car.
So, a stock engined r34 is in fact not godzilla. It would need to be rb30 swapped for that to happen.

ugh, can't find info on making power in the 1uzfe, just random pages of 800hp then everyone making barely 400 at 12psi which just isn't right on a v8

Re: What motor would you choose? To put in a Z car.
It's only a 4.0l and usually mated to an automatic.

|
Re: What motor would you choose? To put in a Z car.
Slap in a Baldor Servo motor and a huge ass battery. 100% torque at 0 RPM. Can't get much fatter of a band then that.
