Why? "Droney" exhaust?

You loved it, haha. Some days I wish I had an exhaust on the car, but I always find different ways to spend the money.

I saw the vr4 around a couple times too, looked really clean! You still going to St. Thomas?

Over the last week I picked up a new stainless clutch line, an adapter to get rid of the banjo bolt on the fuel filter so I can run -6 an from the filter to the rail (figure every little bit helps), and a new slave cyl/throw out bearing/clutch fork from Nick over at Brookdale. Probably get a new fuel filter before the trans goes back in as well.

Hopefully once I'm done with the J-term, I will have some time on my hands to get the back on the road and break in the trans in. It'll be nice to drive a kinda fast car, even if I can't beat on it.

So you have been driving the car with no exhaust the whole time? I didn't notice you didnt have an exhaust when I stopped over that night..

Good choice on the banjo bolt replacment. My Walbro 255 went from a high pitch hum to a very low drone from just replacing that fitting.

Yep I've had no exhaust on it the whole time. I almost want to throw a stock muffler not connected to anything in the back and pretend like I just have a huge exhaust leak. haha

Yea hopefully with summer blend, the banjo bolt replacement, and the boost a pump I can make a little more power.

Re: Beater 2g

Good luck. I remember when I was just running a dp it was loud as hell and I had to drive to Rockfalls like that.. But the exhaust was cut off right under me so I suppose it was worse. I wanna hear this thing now! haha. If you ever drive past 39th street on a weekend (When im usually home) make sure you give it a good pull!

Pulled the engine out last night while the trans was still off to make it easier to fix the couple small leaks I had. While its out I kind of thought about possibly building the engine, getting some suspension, better fuel pump setup. I kind of have ADD when thinking of things to buy so I keep going back and forth on what to get

I also don't have a ton of money to play with, so I'd like to keep mods to 2k or below to get ready for summer.

That being known what would you guys recommend? I haven't done much reading on engine building so I feel like a huge n00b so any suggestions with pistions, compression, rods, etc would be very much appreciated!

Kind of want to put the boost a pump I have sitting around in, small shot of nitrous and "Let'R Buck" with the stock 6 bolt. The only problem with this method is I don't seem to have a lot of time on my hands lately to work on the car so once it blew I probably wouldn't have any money or time to work on the poor little guy.

So any suggestions would be great!

Stock bottom end should hold up just fine.

Will that tranny hold a shot?

I plan on doing a single maybe with a KB BAP if needed, my goal is the same as yours minus the power/trap thing

Yea I'm starting to think my power level isn't crazy enough to see a built motor. Maybe someday once I get a real job and out of school.

I just picked up a tre stage 3 this past winter, so I'd hope it can hold the little power I would make. I didn't plan on spraying anything too crazy, first thoughts were to spool quicker but if the fuel is there I'd like to try maybe a 50 shot all the way to redline. I guess only time on the dyno with the BAP will see what ends up happening. I don't even know how much the BAP will even help, haven't seen any body posting any before and after numbers.

What are your goals? You going for times?

I am with you on the job thing, so hopefully the next few months will prove good for me.

My goal is to be a bit more laggy than the 16g and be able to pull to 7000-7500rpm since i had to shift at 6600rpm last year.

I don't care how fast this car is, but if i can beat 600s easily it will, be a plus.

Z is what i want to be the fast/fun car, dsm for dd.

OH, pick up a ford gt pump, its a 310 and with a BAP could be good. I hope i am good with a single pump. I don't plan on making enough to need more.

Whats in the stg. 3?

w00t for getting my brake lines today for the abs delete, hopefully I find motivation after this week to work on the hunk of junk.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...A/IMG_0102.jpg

Also had Danny up at DB weld on some -10 bungs onto my valve cover. :)
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...A/IMG_0104.jpg

Mounted the bottle and the box should be mounted by the end of the week. Don't mind the pitcher holding the box up.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...A/IMG_9824.jpg

I'm pretty happy with how I mounted the solenoids. I wanted to hide them but didn't really know where to put them. I ended up putting them in my battery box I made which led to the battery relocation. I'm going to make a cover to put over the top of it so it'll just look like a battery box.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...A/IMG_0105.jpg

The ricer in me also wanted to get a new boost gauge.

I don't know about all that, but it should be pretty fun as long as it holds together.
