Ya still rocking the custom CP/Carrillo setup. I have had zero issues with the rotating assemble. I might need that Boosten head stud kit asap.

I'm sure you will be fine.
Don't overcomplicate it and get out there.

Eww, eagles. Terrible idea.

yeah, I can tell from all the sets you have broken. I mean all the sets in the history of DSMs that have broken so easily.

I'll take any eagles you don't want since they are soooo horrible.

Give Forced Engineering or John Whalen of Whalen Speed a call and see what they've got to say on the behalf of Eagle rods.

I have Olivers. Do you know anything about those?!

You are right, 2 vendors that want to sell even more expensive rods. Got it.

JDM, will you running this year at all?

Get the bare minimum done to have the car run and get it running 9.50s all day.

The car needs about 4-6 hours of work and it would be out racing. If I want to track the car I need to get mad cash for rear axles or make the 3s rear pumpkin/axles work in my car.

Two shops that were once one and while united seen multiple Eagle rod failures. I remember seeing the posts on Facebook (pictures of the engines/rods), then after it happened they announced they would no longer sell Eagle rods. It is or has been common knowledge that when Eagle moved to good old China that the quality we have seen in the past went out the door.

Sorry to clutter your thread John.

Is this a question to John or myself? I can almost guarantee you a negative from myself. Just because of those little things called laws. Silly, right? Not so much.

Yes I plan to drive the car on the street. 2012 was a good year for tooling around.

Damn that's not a lot of work and I'd like to see you get it back to the track. Shit maybe even get to line up with you! :woohoo1:

The guy with the dss stage 5's wasn't selling them at a very good price, at least to me! He wanted to trade for some of my stuff, and I said PRO LEVELS OR NOTHING!

And you know the winner of those two has to race me, then we will see who gets to race your junkbox!

I can't wait to see the galant back out there. Has Jeff Bush been helpful with info on the 3000gt rear end swap? Would you ever consider doing an 8.8" swap for weight and strength advantages, or are you in the IRS club forever?

Re: 91 Galant VR4

We have talked a lot about a 8.8, I will have to look up some fs threads before we commit to the 3s rear end. But for dyno and highway pulls what's in there now is perfect.

3/s swap shouldn't be to difficult compared to the level of custom shit already on this car....

Re: 91 Galant VR4

If all goes well we should be up in BIR for PG #1. We have put a few miles on the motor and at WG pressure everything is looking really good. I plan to take it out for a 3rd gear hit at WG pressure tomorrow then load it on the trailer, and leave work asap on Friday. We need to finish the tune at the track so their will be some un eventfull 3rd gear runs on Saturday, then all we need is a 1.5 short time out of the thing then try for a full pass. ATM I don't care what it runs as long as it's going in the right direction. My end goal is to get a high 8, but in the 9s for this weekend would make me happy. Also with the exhaust cam timing fixed and the new super smooth Competion Clutch triple disk the power graph is looking better as well compared to 2014. And we switched to RAT k116, oxogenated 116 octane fuel. I am tired of head gasket issues and pushing my FIC Bluemax 2150 injectors to 90+ percent duty cycle. At 25psi on gas we were down to 55% duty, lol.
