Mike, make sure this is how your siphon piece is setup.

Thanks a lot! I pulled my pump for the 3rd time yesterday and fixed the suction line per your first photo. I know you sent me a photo when I first got the hanger but it wasn't as clear to me.

We *were* having suction line issues yesterday. I had taken this photo to ask you about it because it was not working like this:

Ooo! in for updates.

I'm very thankful toward Shane and scheides for the time on Saturday to isolate the fuel system problems. I don't know everyone by name yet but thanks for your help!

We tried quite a few things: running as a single pump, swapping fuel pump relays, the fpr from scheides' car, and checking electrical connections.

When we unwrapped the wiring for connecting the pumps to the car, we discovered that the connections didn't look very sound and it didn't take much wiggling to break the ground wires off. We ended up jumpering the pump grounds over the car-side plug and once we did so, the fuel pressure stabilized.

We still had lean conditions/misfires despite the good fuel pressure so we knew we had another problem. We siphoned 3 gallons of E85 from another car and dumped it into mine...turns out that the suction line on the Full Blown hanger was not getting fuel from the other side of the tank. It'd drain the side that the pump was on and run out of fuel.

Full Blown gave me a suggestion for correcting the suction line (see the previous two posts) so I've done that. I've also hooked up the BlaqOPs secondary pump again. Hopefully we're good to go now. I'm planning to run a 5gal can of E85 up to DB today...too bad there isn't a station in Rogers.

In the end we got one good pull in. As scheides mentioned, Shane pulled it around 6800 at 418hp since it ran out of single pump. My redline will be 9k when we're done so she has some more power to make.

Man that's weird, it doesn't look *that* different from the previous photo. Hopefully this small change helps, because that pump-side saddle was eeeempty!

Judging by what I've seen and extrapolating the data out, the car would have hit 450whp at 8000 if it had enough fuel. Who knows what will happen after that, but needless to say I'm excited to see :)

Mike, is the suction sitting inside the baffle or outside? It looks as though the hose that connects it to the housing it too long and the return may be bottoming out. If it is bottoming out, then it would block the return. Blocking the return will just pump the fuel into the otherside of the tank. When you reinstall it, make sure the pump assembly is not sitting on the line as well.

Here is how short we have it. Notice the siphon is sitting above the bottom of the pumps. The baffle should slide over all of this and protect it. Im glad you found the wiring issues. I knew it was something stupid. We never had an issue with the evo x and 2g kits. They are based on the same design.

...I still smell like gas. Your car and scheides car I blame for this.

That's exactly how I have it now. I'm sure you're right...the bottom outlet was probably obstructed.

Unless there's a T3 lurking out there somewhere. With all the mods I should be the highest on a stock frame turbo.

Very very true...I am trying to break the X record for sitting at DB the longest right now...I got a ways to go on that one before I can compete with you :)

I'm assuming that the turbo is going to have to come off and go back to CBRD this Winter to get checked out (something is burning oil on pulls).

Hopefully you'll figure out the right wheel combo for me by then. :D

Naw, he said he'd throw it on if he has time between appointments. For the last few weeks that has meant Friday. I think he books Fridays light so he has some time to catch up on things.

I would like to have it sorted by the MAP weekend since my next HPDE is that Monday. Other than that it doesn't matter much.

Was he there again today?

I don't know. I dropped off a 5gal can of E85 but just left it outside.
