Let us know if you are camping at the track. We will try and block off a big enough area for all of us.

1Fst14B 08-05-2004 04:28 PM

the fargo guys and me will be camping...about 4-5 of us or so...

camping is the way to go...screw the spendy and shitty hotels, not to mention COPS

adam

JET 08-05-2004 04:33 PM

Hell yeah! Gonna be standing around BS'ing outside with a drink in my hand. F da cops!

91nbtsi 08-05-2004 07:48 PM

Yeah, what Adam said. We will all be camping. So, if you can, reserve us a near spot. By the way, anybody have a hookup with a 2 car hauler? Let me know.
Thanks,
Nate

v8klla 08-05-2004 11:16 PM

Jet we will be camping as well, they allow tents then I assume? We will have two cars I believe, mine and a truck. Think you can save us a spot too?

Thanks!

Chris

PSI2HI 08-05-2004 11:49 PM

Hopefully bonfires are allowed as well....

JET 08-06-2004 08:31 AM

We will try to block off a big area. We will only have a car dolly, my car and the RV though.

SlowWhite 08-06-2004 11:32 AM

Just unload the Trailer, then put the RV next to the Trailer and then Park your car next to the RV. (that's 3spots right there)

If you're caravaning with Hill or anyone else with a trailer just do the same. A large area will get saved quickly if you guys do that.

Hopefully you won't get bugged about it.

1QUICK4 08-06-2004 12:05 PM

If needed I could leave my truck/trailer/car for awhile there to block off more spots for ya.
I'm throwing my motorcycle in my bed so I could ride that to BW.

Just a thought,
-Brian-

Damn, I have a chopper mini bike that does about 40mph. I may need to find a way to bring it.

I'll haul it out on my trailer if I can use it to race Marco a few times at the horsepower hotel.

I'm staying at the Econodump, biatch. I camped last year at the Iowa track, that sucked.

Goat Blower 08-09-2004 11:34 PM

Damn, 5am is a little early. Even at 70 mph, we should be through Chicago and into Indiana by 2pm if we left around 6am. I think there's about 5-6 trailer queens going, not including the Fargo crew.

JET 08-10-2004 12:14 AM

If you didn't see my other thread, I am not going to the SO. My car blowd up, so there goes the main reason to take the RV over.

1QUICK4 08-10-2004 05:29 PM

Anyone have some floor space available in there room.
Also, when and where is the trailer caravan leaving?

Shane@DBPerformance 08-10-2004 06:09 PM

I need a truck!

1Fst14B 08-12-2004 11:51 PM

FYI-
Nate is towing his car, with kevin driving behind...
they left fargo at 1130 or so, picking me up whenever they come through the cities, and we are driving all the way thru, hoping to miss any traffic through chi-town.

not sure whenever anybody else is leaving the cities...but we will be at the track camping, gettin drunk im sure..

also, we are bringing the minirocket, so watch out!!!

SlowWhite 08-13-2004 07:42 AM

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

Take lots of pictures and video's!

CDeutsch 08-15-2004 10:17 PM

Any news? I heard there was rain. I saw one pic of a car on fire (that didn't look good).

TheBlizzard 08-16-2004 05:36 PM

Come on now people....Every one is itching to hear what happened....

CRAIG

1QUICK4 08-16-2004 08:05 PM

It was pimp... Even If I couldn't break into the 12s. MN had a pretty weak showing at the shootout.

Lots & lots of broken parts everywhere.

CVD 08-16-2004 09:28 PM

Yeah, it was a really sad MN showing. I coulda brought my POS and been the fastest Mn car there.

Brent wasnt there, niether was shep. I was disapointed that the quick 16 only got one run through the feild. They wasted a lot of time, I think they shoulda canned the slower classes or run them last when the weather started looking bad. They were running the Q16 a second time when Marco made a mess of the track. I couldnt see that he laid down anything but they decided to take 30 minutes to clean the track anyhow. It rained before they were done.

I think 150mph was the highest trap speed all day, run by a grey 1G, very clean car but very much a sleeper.

Worth going, I'll be going next year but in a DSM for sure. Preferably in mine.

CVD

Goat Blower 08-17-2004 01:04 AM

I broke twice.

Marco blew his rear pumpkin completely out of the car at the 1000" mark.

Jeff Elliott had the engine fire.

Sean Ivey had the gray car that did 150 mph.

An EVO II ran 9.6.

Curt Brown's EVO went 11.5 on a stock turbo and slipping clutch.

There was actually some cute girls there.

The party at the Econodump was beyond words.

Yeaaaaaaaaaa........The stuffed bear suit!(Econodump Party)

The SO Rocked!

Buschur Racing is a lot smaller than I expected.

Yes....MN had a very weak showing. Mainly due to broken cars and bad luck.

I will post some pics as soon as I can figure out how to use the image upload thingy.

The track OWNED Marco...

1-Missed 1st rond of qualifing,

2-Shatered x-case at the line on 10.25pass,

3-On 2nd pass he broke the driveshaft in 2 places, pitched out the pumpkin at the 1000' mark, sprayed down the track with gear oil, and about died if the drive shaft ate through any more of the floor. The DS chewed a hole the size of a chalupa in the floor pan of the car directly under the Nitrous bottle.

Marco said that he now holds the 2G broken parts record. Previousely held by me.........I'll get him next year. Or is Steve ever gets a 2G I might have to worry a little.

Jakey 08-18-2004 09:00 AM

So did David expand to anyone as to why his tube car is for sale? I haven't seen any updates on it since it was announced back in July that the car and trailer were for sale.

CVD 08-18-2004 12:00 PM

I'm sure he wants to concentrate on the evo now, since that is what is going to make him the money.

I dont see how making his 2G faster is going to do anything for him. That and he'd be falling all over himself trying to keep up with Brent while paying to keep his other two drag cars running.

JET 08-18-2004 01:21 PM

He said he doesn't have the time or energy to keep up with everyone else in that class. It is just too competitive to do it part time.

1QUICK4 08-18-2004 07:51 PM

Looks like somebody on tuners snapped a pic of the old beater.

I could probably find this if I looked through the numerous pictures online, but did Slowboy have their RWD Eclipse at the Shootout?

Not running, or even on a trailer that I saw.
