I used my jug last year, it was a life saver. The X tank is small, 5 gallon jug is totally worth it. Especially for keeping your tank full so you don't get fuel starvation :)

Besides the distance between stations, having extra on-hand is helpful. The situation last spring where Tachyon showed up halfway through the cruise and are on only 1/4 tank and barely make it...but not a single e85 car had spare e85 since somewhere someone had mentioned that e85 would 'not be a problem.'

Just bring a can if you can spare the room in your trunk, that's all I'm saying :)

Is there a girls car this cruise? Seems there will not be, but if there is, Emily would like to ride in that (with Paco) part of the time I think. I would also appreciate the opportunity to drive fast around corners without some hysteria.

The map packets are done. Be sure to do any last minute maintenance such as an oil change, checking all fluids, adjusting tire pressure, etc!

Sooo, I thought I booked a room a few weeks back, I remember calling and everything but I couldn't find any confirmation so I just called and they don't have a room reserved for me. Also they are 100% booked for Saturday night.

I know it's a long shot, and there is still a chance that someone will cancel a room and I'll be able to take that, but if not, does anyone have some space available in their room for Emily and I (and maybe Paco)?

I wouldn't worry about it, if they don't have any walk-in rooms available I'm sure you'll be able to find a bed or worst-case a nearby hotel.

Also, IF we absolutely need to, I am registered, so I can bring the Galant and the women can drive that if they would be comfortable doing so. That way us boys can play. :D

As far as getting to the meeting spot, since I am not currently planning on driving, I may just have you guys pick me up somewhere in Cloud, I can leave my car at Walmart for the weekend if I need to, we drive right by it on the way through St. Cloud.

Well, I don't drink. And I'd rather do a one day cruise that maximizes the fun roads. The only way to do that is to hit the alphabet roads along the Mississippi in Wisconsin.

I know you guys really enjoy the format that you have for your cruises, but you've got to realize that it just isn't for everyone. My MN 3/S cruise on Sunday will be just as big as yours and my club is 10% the size of MitsuStyle.

I'm sure you guys will have a ton of fun on your event. I'll come see you off on the part I like, hanging out by the cars with sober people. LOL

^ Aren't those the roads we took when Scheides crashed? Some others have come for just Saturday in the past, I understand not everyone wants to do the party thing on Saturday night.

The hotel assured me there will be cancellations this afternoon, so I'll be calling every hour to see if there are openings.

The roads Scheides crashed on, I spun out on, and a local crossed the center line into Shawn on.

Great driving roads, but I'm completely and totally over them, there's no point in going over there when every single time in the past 3 years we have someone's ended up in the ditch or without a car.

Yeah, admittedly I shouldn't have been trying to keep up with Evos in a DSM, and the front of the pack shouldn't have been pushing so hard for the other two. But it is what it is and I think we've learned our lesson by now, haha.

Never said, nor was I trying to imply that. It's simply less car on roads like that, and therefore I was overdriving the car with the amount of skill that I had at the time. It was a tightrope stunt from the second I decided to run with the faster group and it was only inevitable that I'd fall.

My car is dirty but my liquor bag is packed! Packets printed, anna is 3/4 packed. I'm fully packed--oil checked, air in tires, and spare coolant in the trunk for emergencies. Oh, and I packed a change of t-shirt and boxers to :P
