Still shouldn't be hard to source. Dealer for the mitsu one and a sponsor for the other one. Otherwise, I have a real DSM T3 manifold I could sell you for a good deal :)

well I got er done I was up till fuckin 1:30 am finishing it up. now to find a torque wrench and crank down them headstuds and see if that cures the coolant pushing. do I have to loosen them first or just crank em down? is there a specific order to do them in?

Start in the middle and work your way out in a X-type pattern.

You don't need to loosen them first. All that will do is require you to tighten them more.

:) Good luck.

Everyone have fun. If I wasn't packing and working this weekend, I would totally have made this!

Re: 2009 MAPerformance Sport Compact Proving Grounds / July 10th-11th @ BIR Brainerd,

I thought this was really fun, the drifting and auto x was really fun to watch, and the Quick 16 cars were amazing. I was expecting a far greater turn out, and I was surprised how uninformed the BIR staff were initially on Friday morning.
Being my first time to BIR, I was insanely impressed with the facility, especially the track itself. Awesome!
I as most everyone else, really wanted to see the FDSM go, but lady luck wasnt on Map's side.
Only thing that would have made it better was more people!!

Oh, and my bare ass has never touched so many spotless port-a-potties ever!

I had a lot of fun yesterday and everything seemed to flow very smoothly considering it was MAP's first ever big track event! Congratulations to everyone who got good runs in, it seemed like most people were running pretty good and consistent.

It was a great time! Im totally burnt but it was totally worth it! I wish I could have gotten my car done so I could have ran it!
Thank you Chris and the rest of the MAP crew for holding this event and allowing us to be a vendor!

What was the deal with the car show? The sheet said 4pm the awards would be given away, then at 3:30ish the tent packed up, all the cars left and come 4:30 there was no awards. Its not like we would have missed them considering we were right across the street to it.

Thanks to everyone that made it out, it was a blast! We have several ideas on how to improve the event next year and would really appreciate input from those that attended. Keep your eyes peeled for that thread in the MAP forum later today or tomorrow!

Didn't know this screen name was your car. Nice quick car you have there. 10.5 is awesome and you were the quickest ET for the weekend were you not?

So many low eleven and ten second mitsus with no breakage this weekend.

Quickest dsm? Because Andy ran a 10.08@140. His best trap was 143.

Sorry I meant strictly AWD class. :D

Andy is a champ. Went something like this- breaks his car Friday morning, gets drunk and gets over it, then Mo gets overnight parts from JAPAN for the 240, Andy sobers up and pulls out the flex plate at 3AM with drunk dsmers watching (me and ginger), Mo drops off parts later that morning, then Andy puts new flex plate in and makes it to the semi finals of Q16!
