Hopefully you guy calibrated the tps sensor and open up the sensitivity and fuel enrichment settings for the larger throttle body.

Very pretty, except for that exhaust manifold. She really needs a new coat, I'd go with the mink, all the ladies love it.

Chickens or sheep.

(He has a MAP sensor)

FattyBoomBatty 03-18-2009 12:30 PM

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

map sensors are for pussies. Just let the computer guess. RLFebo should know about that. Stock Conquest ecu ftw!

Febo 03-18-2009 12:33 PM

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

More boost than me too. Looks good, those pipes are huge.

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Thanks..yea, I know the manifold is a soar area, as well as afew other spots. I got some fiberglass filler I MIGHT tackle the extra bolt holes on the firewall, but we shall see..

ALL that's left is to switch out the gas, and tune it! Then wash it!

Which used to be part of my "exhaust" on my car, lol. And I suppose I do not get Good guy feed back until your car revs past 8200rpm or what ever it was?

I got a new nikon digital camera! Not as nice as my old one, but for the price it's not bad! And, it's small! and takes vids! So, here is a few of each of me messing around..

Videos-sorry, they are crappy, but I'm just testing things out..

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...h_DSCN0005.jpg

First off, THANK you to Shane, for emailing me a new map to get the car mobile on e-85! That's right boys and girls..the last 3 gallons of 111 race fuel is currently being guzzled by our lawnmower and my ponti-piece-o-shit. The talon is now as of today no longer an E-fuel virgin! I shot these two vids quick..first one is first start up..idle is a bit high, second vid I turned down the idle a bit, but still not quite as "lobby" as the old map..Once the car is tuned, I'll have mroe vids, and a dyno vid or two..Hopefully, coming soon this thursday :leghump:

Swifty1638 04-06-2009 10:19 PM

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Now, put 400 miles on it this week, and come on the cruise!

Why would you take a car that has sat for months on end or made a few laps around the block on a 500 mile cruise, a weekend filled with abuse. Same goes for a dyno day...the car should have all its kinks worked out long before the day of so you can show up and have a good time ;)

More like 300, but my point lies in my prev statement. I don't like seeing cars broken down on the side of the road, especially my friends' cars.

turbotalon1g 04-08-2009 06:26 PM

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

^I don't my friend and is why driving to IA racing low 12s driving back, cruising up to WI for a weekend about 1500 plus miles equals no problem for me.

I thought he has been putting some miles on it.

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

I drove it yet again today to and from work. And will be driving it WAY up north to see shane. So, i'm getting miles. It's not like i have a new clutch, or motor. Same motor, same turbo, only difference is bigger piping, tb, wg, degree'd cams, and a real intake. oh, and corn gas. Bout it.

Don't forget the unfucked wiring allowing you to rev finally.
