Wow man, looking awsome so far! Gosh, I love that clear TB cover, I wish they made them for my motor...
|
Re: My projects
Ugg.. I still have alot of work to do, but it's slowly coming along.
I still gotta finish up with the wiring, get the injectors in, hook up the FPR, do the brake lines, get the Evo rotors and 3kgt calipers on, waterpump/ belts/ timing, fit the fmic and make the piping, get the 4 bolt in, rear struts changed out, and install/ re-wire the fuel pump.. *gasp* But today, went out Auto-xing and then tonight got a bit more done: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSC07505.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSC07501.jpg |
Re: My projects
Looks quite a bit different from when I bolted it up to see how it'll look:

Re: My projects
So those are 3/S brakes? Did you need to make any special brackets for them?
|
Re: My projects
Wow, this thing is really coming together!

Re: My projects

|
Re: My projects
What, there's an engine in it now? You forgot to put on your timing belt and water pump?
This pic is awesome: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSC07483.jpg Keep up the good work! |
Re: My projects
Look at post 130.. spot the difference :)
Yuh I just got the waterpump, a few of the gaskets and pulleys.. I had to order them, so they didn't go on before the engine was in. |
Re: My projects
The intake manifold and water pipe color change?
|
Re: My projects
I see a lot of changes, ABS delete and bigger turbo to name a few.
|
Re: My projects
Suspension, Battery relocate? Shiny powdercoated things. Looks good!
|
Re: My projects
Look a little closer at the turbo.. notice anything changed?

Re: My projects
I want one of those manifolds. Looking good man!
|
Re: My projects
Looks good! Is that pipe kit from ebay? I think I have the same stuff on my 1G, very nice!
You're ah.....missing a manifold stud or two though :) |
Re: My projects

Re: My projects
Too bad it's my DD and I only have Sundays off, so I can't afford for it to be down for that long..
I really need to get the black cherry going so I can do that and get a little more maintenance.. and wire tucking!!! done on the silver car :) |
Re: My projects
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSC07550.jpg
Got quite a bit done today.. Injectors are in, water pump in, timing all done, finished rebuilding the TB, worked on the wiring and tucking.. |
Re: My projects
Got a few more parts picked up for it :)
38mm WG, ordered a fuel lab inline fuel filter, and picking up an EBC Here's how she sits now: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSC07561.jpg |
Re: My projects
Finally got a bit more done :)
Piping is done, aside from the open dump. We cut it, welded on a flange for the 38mm, and are waiting on the 1 3/4 pipe to come in (sigh backordered stuff). As soon as that comes, it will get welded on and everything will be going off to be powdercoated! Got the FPR all hooked up and new lines on the fuel pump. Also waiting for my Fuel Lab inline fuel pump to come in the mail... http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSC07596.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSC07594.jpg |
Re: My projects
Coming together, I like the lower placing of the crap along the firewall...
|
Re: My projects
Thanks :)
Hopefully it'll look a little cleaner in that corner once the battery is in. The battery tray is already tucked in the corner.. Can't even see it there :D |
Re: My projects
Looks like you're missing a bolt on the turbo.

like thread the bolt in though the bottom of the turbo and then run a nut down the bolt. but make sure you use a lock washer because it will loosen on you |
Re: My projects
Looking Good!
|
Re: My projects
Thanks. Haven't focused too much on the bolts for the turbo, but that's most likely what we'll have to do. I still need to grab some shorter bolts for the TB.
Hopefully by tonight all the electrical stuff will be taken care of :) |
Re: My projects
... and the pics of the engine wiring :)
