I just remembered that I forgot to leave my Laser keys with my parents so they won't be able to pop the hood and take a picture of the flamidation vale, sorry! JET should be able to describe better than I can the location of the valve. If he doesn't post again I'd suggest giving him a call RK. ;)

I'll do that. Thanks for the try Jakey! Appreciate it.

Why not just call Jet and see if you can stop over and have him show you. He has enough cars there to be able to have easy access to at least 1. It's in a tight spot and all, but shit.

I was under the car for half an hour and didn't find anything that looked like a valve. I also checked the vfaqs, dsmtalk, buschur and tuners - NOTHING pertains to a flamidation valve or has a pic. I even did a search on Google and NOTHING came up.
What does the flamidation valve look like? Size?

Dude, it's right next to the extruder bearing. Try turning on your neons to light up the underside of the car, you should be able to see it.

That's on the 2Gs Mike. The extruder bearing is on the opposite side of the engine bay on the 1Gs.

I guess it really depends on which extruder bearing you're talking about. The one near the flamidation valve or the one near the conk lever.

I'll just call and go to JET tomorrow - I hope he has the time and the inclination. Too late to call him tonight.

Re: Flamidation Valve Going Bad?

You probably bumped it putting the neonz up in there. If you look down from the top on the passenger side, you'll see it. It's part number MD1548723. Kinda of a dull brown color, with yellow markings on the side. Get out there with a flashlight, it's not even midnight yet.

Re: Flamidation Valve Going Bad?

Actually, you'll probably find it under it's better known name, the rectal valve. Just stick your head up in there and you'll see it.

Oh wow. I don't even know what to say. I was tired and about to go to bed and now I'm in tears. Ya go see Jet about this, I'm sure he can find some time for ya and he always enjoys company!!

Or better yet, just go see Steve and he'll hook you up with a new car. He knows his shit, and knows the car companies that don't use those crappy valves!

Re: Flamidation Valve Going Bad?

I'm so sick of Mitsu vehicles having faulty rectal valves, one false move and next think you know its leaking brown sticky fluid all over the damn place. My g/f drives a Montero and I was looking at her valve this weekend, what a mess that was...

Re: Flamidation Valve Going Bad?

ROFL!!! Didnt need to know that kracka.

RK... Just a thought, you might want to check the fluid in the driveshaft. If its low it could cause it to slip there for you would not be in AWD mode anymore and it would be a lot easier to spin the tires. Good luck!

Any luck with checking your flamidation valve RK? Have you had a chance to call JET to get his assistance?
