I guess that's up to the guys at Elite. It's been done before, and I know we have a few FWD guys that would definatly lay some smoke, but I am not sure how good of an idea that is.
I'm down my motot's got 1500miles on her now shes ready for some smoke....

Bad news, Looks as if the person who is supposed to be building my downpipe is going to back out. So that leaves me to do it on my own lol. I don't see how I will get it built and break in the motor and clutch by dyno fest. Sorry for the inconvenience guys...

Dyno Day Rules and Info:

If you are dynoing an AWD, you need to have the VC in and transfer case removed before you enter the shop. Bring your own tools to drop the downpipe/transfercase in the parking lot, if needed. Bring some bungie cords or wire to tie up your driveshaft.

You will be driving your own car on the dyno during the pulls. Drive it onto the lift/dyno rollers, we will strap it down and hook everything up while you wait in the car. We will run the dyno controller, unless you really want to. The way it works is that we release the dyno brake, you casually get the car up to 4th gear and hold it at about 2000RPMs. When you are ready to make a pull, let me know and I will hit the sample button while you floor the gas and hold onto the steering wheel tight. Make the pull up to redline or revlimiter or how ever high you want to take it and let off the gas and put it into neutral. I will hit the dyno brake and the car will come down to a stop.

No, just leave it hooked up the trailor and be ready. LOL

Is there a dyno order yet? I don't want to spend the whole day there.

SlowWhite 07-29-2004 11:14 AM

How about Bets on who's going to put down the most HP?

So far my Money's on Nash (cause it's proven)

JET 07-29-2004 11:24 AM

I'll take bets on the most torque! Haha, I am still on the stock intake manifold. That is going to hold me back, big time! :headache:

Enes 07-29-2004 11:31 AM

hmm.. maybe my truck would put down some nice tq...

Not really any order yet. Carl's up first since he's the only FWD guys and will give the AWD guys a chance to get ready if needed. CVD is up as soon as he gets there since he has to work and I already talked to him about it, but other than that we will talk to those dynoing and get a schedule that day based on who's ready and when. Comming in FWD mode like Nash and CVD will make the day go by MUCH faster!

Thanks again guys!

SlowWhite 07-29-2004 01:42 PM

Hey,

Is Moe getting in on this?

AJ 07-29-2004 01:55 PM

I have no clue yet. That would be cool though.

Shane@DBPerformance 07-29-2004 07:08 PM

I can't stay at the shop all night long, so we have to make sure the cars are ready to go onto the dyno. When the VW guys dyno we can do 15 cars in 3-4 hours.

joem 07-30-2004 09:22 AM

Will not be able to make it.
joe

AJ 07-30-2004 09:35 AM

We have 7 now with Carey and Joe not being able to make it. So anyone else who want's to dyno thier DSM let me know. Good chance for you FWD guys or someone AWD and wil be ready in FWD mode.

DSMPARTSGURU 07-30-2004 09:36 AM
