Re: The Brian Spilner ..... EVO
pkron! you're in the guard? I'm at ripley atm.
My battery is new but it's nothing fancy... I might have to have someone mess with my cold start tables but i need to buy a tatrix cable first. I know the lower radiator hose is 1 5/16" x 22 19/32" What are the thoughts on this kind of set up.....? You cut your lower radiator hose, insert this guy. Reinstall. Plug it into an outlet and you have a warm vehicle all winter. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...5at71648PM.png |
Re: The Brian Spilner ..... EVO
are you parking in a garage or outside? Outside, my car would start, but I would have to sit in it to keep it going. in my garage, I never had an issue. My garage will get below freezing, but probably not much below 25 degrees.
E85(70) wasn't too much of an issue for me.... but, I never had to rely on my car to get me anywhere. I did take it to a wild game on a cold and snowy night and had no issues with it starting sitting in a very cold parking ramp for 3.5 hrs. |
Re: The Brian Spilner ..... EVO
Navy here, I drill at the Minneapolis airport.
I agree w/ Zivman. It may be worth it if you park outside and it's your only vehicle. If you park in a garage, you should be fine. |
Re: The Brian Spilner ..... EVO
Nice! I park outside and it's my only vehicle. If i park in the garage my roommates park in the driveway and block me in. I'm definitely going to look into it.

you could always do the dual map thing.... just get it tuned up and have a pump and E70 tune in it. If you find that E70 aint cutting in, just drain the tank and run pump gas. shouldn't cost too much to have a couple maps made up |
Re: The Brian Spilner ..... EVO
Allready have a pump map... just no cable to switch between the two. I'll but a cable sooner than later. Just invested a lot of $$ into Tax and registration, and winter wheels lol

Re: The Brian Spilner ..... EVO
I really do like red on an evo. I dig how the CF hood and trunk look with it too.

Re: The Brian Spilner ..... EVO
I'm pretty sure i'm going with goodharts advise on the color for the wheels. They are at the shop and they just haven't gotten around to blasting them.
Had to turn the key a bit this morning to get it to start, hope the switch to E70 soon! I messed with this pic of my evo a bit and fell in love with how it turned out. It's my current desktop background. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...0EVO8/wink.jpg |
Re: The Brian Spilner ..... EVO
Nice.

Re: The Brian Spilner ..... EVO
That's funny, mine fires up every time now, no more multiple key turns or hesitation.
Maybe a new motor'll fix it? |

Re: The Brian Spilner ..... EVO
Took my Gf and her friend to dinner in lacrosse tonight in the evo. On the way there I was driving nice "granny shifting, not double clutching like I should," and she told me my car sounded like it was going to fall apart. :( (open dump on my o2 housing). On the way back from dinner I brought the car to 3k rpm down town lacrosse and my gf's friend said "Oh my peacock revving your engine." ...... I laughed it off. Getting on the highway from a stop I took it to 6500 in first and second. (car made 450@map) She screams and says "My stomach just went into my ass!" we all laughed.
