I'm sort of leaning towards the blue, I think it's a nice contrast on the black.

Is that what i think it is behind the vette?

Re: 2006 Corvette

If you are going to make use of the brakes then get black, since the calipers will start turning from red to brown to black anyways.

Re: 2006 Corvette

I was wondering that too, do the stockers fade at all anyway? Id throw some better pads on and be done.

Re: 2006 Corvette

I have really nice pads for the track, I think they're carbotech, but I've never used them.

I'll be honest, I probably won't see that much difference (for the one or two times a year the car sees a road course). I could upgrade to z51 rotors which are about an inch wider diameter but use the same calipers, just a different bracket. However, I found a sweet deal on a complete z06 brake setup with just a couple thousand miles on them, and it's basically the same cost as buying new z51 rotors and brackets. So I think I'm going with the 6 piston sweet looking approach, ricer style.

The come stock red, so maybe I'll just leave them that way, and if I don't like it, I can paint them next winter.

Re: 2006 Corvette

better looking is always ricer, what you gonna be working on this weekend?

Re: 2006 Corvette

Pinning the crank and then putting the crank pulley and front end stuff back together. Also painted the intake mani black and putting that back on.
