Drive it, have fun, park it at the mall, collect insurance money, buy an evo. Thats what I would do.

Re: Back to 4 Cylinders
K, here's the serious:
Latest purchase is a 1998 DC2 Integra with a K20a2 swapped in already. I didn't know anything about K20's til I started reading up on k20a.org and realized they could make a good amount of power on completely stock longblocks. I ended up buyin it, and all it needed/needs is a gas tank, a windshield put back on, and of course a turbo. Towed it home, next to my SC300. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...d/100_2366.jpg Needed the inteiror put back together as it had a cage in it, and it was taken out to cut the cage out (previous owner did it). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v17/guessd/seats.jpg Here was the engine bay shot as I got it - wire tucked. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...d/100_2380.jpg It came with a few nice things: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...d/100_2376.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...d/IMAG0055.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v17/guessd/Sparco.jpg ...and some more stuff. Then the windshield went on! (not sure if i'm keeping the headlights yellow) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...d/IMAG0068.jpg and on to the more important stuff. As soon as I got it, I started buying turbo parts as the whole intention was to turbo it. Skunk2 tensioner, turbo, PTE 6262, 1000cc injectors, Tial 44 w /a 13 lb spring, walbro-modded, HKS bov... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...d/IMAG0038.jpg Then the manifold, which I'm having MAPerformance make, and it will be in production soon! and this is the progress so far! rigged up: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...d/IMAG0070.jpg manifold tacked together on the jig: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...magejpeg_3.jpg manifold mock-mounted on car: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...gejpeg_2_2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...magejpeg_2.jpg and that's the progress so far. I picked the car up about a month ago and plan on having it all tuned and making a hopeful 4-500 easy whp, (depending if the clutch slips or not), tuned by Shane, within two weeks if all goes well. =) If I could low offset it and dump it, I would JUST so all the haters could hate, lol. :o but I can't... oil pan is already 2-3 inches from the ground. |
Re: Back to 4 Cylinders
That manifold made me JIMP. Glad to see you actually posted stuff now ;) Looks like it should be a fun car!

Re: Back to 4 Cylinders
Those K20's are a great platform. Looks like it'll be highway monster!

Re: Back to 4 Cylinders
Nice, i'm shocked you didn't go with a 67, but I know these newer turbos make big power.
Good luck, saw the car yesterday looks great. (I wanted to take your turbo, lol and wheels) |
Re: Back to 4 Cylinders
Looks like my old wastegate will be going to good use! Too bad it's not being used on the SC though... haha

Re: Back to 4 Cylinders
Put a skid plate on that oil pan. 2-3" of clearance is very scary in this state, almost a guaranteed problem waiting to happen.
Looks nice! |
