Re: Scale DSM....
Here is the Talon too. All yellow areas need to be cut, filled or changed in some way...

Re: Scale DSM....
Looks pretty cool! I remember doing this with a Formula Firebird model many years ago. Used old telephone wire strands for plug wires and such. I had a pic of the engine bay from Car and Driver and just went to town. Glued in a piece of a sock turned inside out into the interior for carpetting. It was a tedious job, but was so cool when it was done. It looked so authentic. I did coolant lines, wiring harnesses, etc under the hood. I'll see if I can find some pics of it. Kind of hard to explain.
Good luck with yours. I might have to start doing some model car building again someday when I have more time. Gotta get a lighted magnifying lens again before I start doing detailing like that again. |

I have never ACTAULLY done wiring harnesses and kept them. I had a shop diorama not too long ago and I just put a bunch of spare wire together. Then had an engine lift next to it with the engine hanging out. Just making it look real, lol. I know what you mean by explaining. That is why I say pictures do the best explaining, hahaha. It would be great to see some pics. of it. It sounds like it has LOADSSS of work into it. I have to agree with the lit mag. len(s). I do not have one but I am SURE it would help tramediously. |
