Looks great man. Make sure and report back with how it lasts. That anti-slip stuff should help when it gets wet.

Re: House Projects

Went out there in socks today, it's definitely grippy, feels like sand grits on top, but like glass in between the grits. The clear coat also smoothed everything out really well.

One bad thing I just realized, it was about 100% humidity here yesterday, and getting cooler at night didn't help things, so condensation was on the floor near the edges, it was wet this morning. Sooo, really hoping that doesn't peel up. I'm going to wait a couple weeks before I do the third stall, and if the edges don't look good, I'll cut them out with a razor and redo them at the same time. This time with a dehumidifier in the garage and seal around the garage door better.

New deck layout. Here is what my dad and I are planning. I am excited to finally get something back there.

Might end up going to 18 or 16ft wide instead of 20 but I prefer the bigger deck.

Bitches love big decks.

Re: House Projects

Make sure and keep any bushes around it trimmed, makes your deck look bigger.

Dont let the wood get too moldy, def look into protecting your wood from the elements.

Re: House Projects

Finally got the driveway to the top of the house mod list. My neighbor is also doing his driveway and offered to help with ours since it would save us money to do them together. We added a parking pad, so we should be able to get 4-5 cars in the driveway now, and move the car in and out of the garage without shuffling cars in and out of the driveway. (I know its not a big deal, but it will be great!)

So this weekend he borrowed his buddies skidloader, and we ripped out both old driveways, put in crushed cement/asphalt and graded them. Ready for the asphalters to come in and finish up the job.

The old cement, that has seen many better days.

Picked up the slabs one at a time and dropped them to break them up.

This is where we stand now, graded and compacted, just waiting for blacktop. Supposed to be next week.

Re: House Projects

Nice, that should be a huge upgrade.

I need to start taking some pictures of our place. Nothing huge, but nice improvements. Been working on the lawn quite a bit, it was basically all weeds. Patched and re-painted a few walls that were beat up, took out the janky fountain thing in the front yard and turned it into a fire pit in the back yard. Planted a ton of new grass. Next up will be a small re-model of the upstairs bathroom, and framing in the downstairs bathroom.

I know! It was a HUGE help to have the neighbor. He does this stuff for a living and had all the equipment and knowledge. Also, a big cost savings :)

That's badass. Nice work rosey.
I've been shoveling old mulch from around our house, even just sitting as mud it looks a lot nicer.

Re: House Projects

That will look nice and clean once its all done! More parking ftw.

I suppose I should post up my last update. Been doing landscaping this summer, added another garden next to the house and raised all the rock around the rear and side of the house another 6 inches. Added some wood to contain the rocks and designed a flower garden. Got 2 more big pine trees to finish my wall of pines too.

Rosey - you will love the extra parking!

Peter, looks good. More trees are always great to block out the neighbors and traffic!
