This is getting good. Maybe on the bathroom counter? That's always a good spot in hotel rooms.

You know, literally 5 minutes before you said anything I saw those tags...damn admins! haha.

However, I did stop at DB after work today...been a while since i had been up there, i was getting homesick haha.

I gathered up all the left over parts i had up there and brought them up, including two SSP MC's...and yes the magnus MC (lomker I will get this to you soon).

Danny was nice enough to adjust my clutch pedal and it is way better now...I don't have to have my foot in the air to engage so I should be able to launch assuming i know how, lol. Still not used to the lower engagement though, but I'll get there.

Also bought some oil up there as my car is a little low on oil, maybe burned some on the cruise and the hours of WOT, lol, not sure.

But I think I am good to go for this weekend...time to have fun!

I figure if the beater breaks down then I'll drive it. I'll also probably get some work done on it over the Winter (pull the turbo, etc).

Uber fail since you are right next to a good highway with a long ass entrance ramp.

Thread semi cleaned. Hotdog's posts remind me of everything I hate about evoXforums and as much as I love teasing murlo I don't want this site to slip into the newb/facetube/omg entity that others have created. Just keep this thread semi-on-topic; extra-way-too-long rants and tirades about flaming faux-homosexuality can go elsewhere pretty please with pink sprinkles on top :)

Evo goes away for the winter this weekend...taking insurance off, putting it on jackstands and the honda returns...was a good month of fun while it lasted.

Edit: I must put this thread back on track.

True that if you have something other than summer rims/tires, which i don't anymore.

This is why I have a beater now.

That single layer of paint evos have doesnt seem to resist the salty roads for too long, sadly.

I assume you won't be telling your bank about that one. I thought about upping my deductibles but it's not worth the risk since even my parking ramp isn't totally safe.

With the amount of paint my car has lost in 14k miles, I expect it to need a repaint sooner than later. It's amazing.

It doesn't fully remove it...its what I did while at DB. It is still covered if something happens, you just can't drive it.

I think i still pay like 50 bucks a month for the coverage that way...something like that. A lot less though.

And yes, the paint is bad on these...my car is starting to look rough, I don't need more salt and rock chips owning the exterior than is needed.

Honestly, i think it will just make driving the evo that much more awesome when I take it out again in spring.

Yep...I still get my mutli car discount this way too, so its all good :)

However it seems to confuse statefarm, at least my agent, so it usually takes a billing cycle to figure it out, lol.

But I will save a lot on GAS, insurance and maintenance. I would say over the winter, probably looking at 600 or so in savings...works for me.

Edit: I don't think you have to worry about this scheides, but if you tow it anywhere, just let them know that day so you are covered...otherwise should be good to go.

Just called, Went from $129/month to $19/month. Technically I could remove coverage entirely (no lien on it) but for $19 I'll keep some coverage in case the roof falls in on the garage or I give up and light the thing on fire (har har).

You are welcome for the suggestion :) More money for the motor now!
