Yea, there will be a few moments between pulls. Most people want to do 2 or 3 baseline pulls even if they aren't changing settings, because cars don't do the same thing everytime. Turbo cars are especially sensitive to heat buildup. So people will often do a cool run and then instantly backup it up with some hot runs to see how the power and fueling changes when the car is hot.


It doesn't look like I will be able to dyno either after breaking another built tranny. I was hoping to knock Brent's old AWD number down.

I might get up there and do a few pulls in the Laser to see how good of a tune it has right now after the new injectors and AFC.

Alright, this lit a fire under my ass! It looks like I might have a shot to have the car running this weekend if everything goes well. Now I just have to get a hold of Shane to see if I can get some tuning done next week!

Never dyno'd my car before. Say I drove up there, what would i have to do to pre-prep my 99GSX before she could go on the dyno? I'd be coming from WI, so it's not like i would want to tear too much apart.

You'd have to be converted to FWD prior to dynoing, and be sure your name is on our list, which means you need to be sure you are going to do it or not...

At this point I don't want any maybe's. Honestly we get that to often. But the fact is the more people that are on the list ready to rock means the more people we can get on the dyno.

Onefast99gsx: If your coming from WI and want to dyno all I need to know is how serious you are. You'd need to have a welded VC and be able to convert the car to FWD before heading on the dyno. If it needs to be done in the parking lot bring a jack and jack stands and tools.

I don't want everyone looking to Eltie to pass out tools for working on cars.

My dyno time doesn't by no means have to be on the 17th. On the 16th i plan to spend all day at Rock Falls test and tune day so a day at the dyno would probably just be too much to do in that same weekend. Saying that though, i want to have it done at some point in the near future. I was mearly inquiring about what's involved. I would need to see where i can get a welded VC firstly. Dropping the transfer case could be done pretty easily.

Ah, I wanna join but my car needs to be tuned, so my joining this even all depends on if I can get the thing running right (and tuned by you guys) first.

You guys were gonna tune it for me today, but I had to postpone it once again for typical dsm style trouble...

Well, take me off the list. Shane is booked out for 2 weeks, so I can't get my car tuned before the dyno day. That is alright, now I don't have to bust ass to get it ready. I wish I would have known that the last few nights though, I haven't gotten over 4 hours of sleep all week!!

This is actually what I have right now with DSMs having full Priority. Any RWD car (Quest's) will be done after if time allows. So with everyone on this list 12 and half already being FWD we should be able to move things along smooth. Femember you AWD can drop the driveshaft at home as well so you don't have to deal with anything in the parking lot.

I WOULD LOVE A PM from anyone on this list and an honest update. I won't mind someone not being able to dyno, but please give us notice if there is a change.

Oh and LOWEST Dyno numbers are spoken for. The guys at Elite are letting me pop the 1.8 on the dyno for a pull. It will be the first car up, so make sure you come can get a good laugh at the beast doing some damage on the dyno!

That would be 4 now (92 tsi awd, 95 gsx, 95 gst, 95 tsi awd) the parts cars are gone. The gst now runs but we are still having the overheating issue. Although needing to be replaced, the new HG and head did not solve the problem. I was inside while he tightened the belts so hopefully that is it (pray). Maybe the car will have some compression now after replaceing the old head.

Like I said before, Unless I can get a tune on the dyno day, I can't dyno cuz my fuel settings aren't right.

If things change and there ends up being time to perform an SAFC tune on my car on the dyno day, then I'd love to join.

Also, no matter if you end up not being able to dyno still feel a need to come to the event. I'd like to get a idea on who's coming no matter what and maybe how many people your bringing. Would be a great help with food and beverage supplies.

Watch my 1.8 BEAST take home some killer dyno numbers! We may still even allow people to place a wager on what the 1.8 will hit on the dyno. $5 a guess with winner (closest) taking home some cash!

This saturday we will find out. 3's a charm right lol. I will be at the dyno day if my car survives another day at the track. It's been fine so far, but i'm yet to get traction so of course it's fine. Traction problems are greatly improved so i'll just have to see what i can break.

Anymore updates from anyone on the list. Remember eaither way the event will go on. Food will be there, the 1.8 will be on the dyno for all to see the mighty glory, and maybe we should see if they still have that plate for the burnouts? ;)
