I forgot to mention I contacted Wannagofast about getting Nyce1's to come out and also cover the event. I connected with Nyce1's and they down for it so hopefully the two can work something out so Nyce1's can be there to do what they do.

Damn right they're going to miss out. This event is the first event of this kind in Chicago. Do you know how big Chicago is lol? Its going to be EPIC!! Vids won't be able to explain how crazy this is going to be. And thats just at the event. I haven't even talked about after the event lol. This is going to shut TX2K down and I have been saying that since the first day I heard about it!!!

oh no. I think you all are missing the big picture. This is an event for racers. not glorified rich kids. There are 150 cars per day for the Regular SO. The total for the Vendor SO cars is separate and they coming in ridiculous numbers. I'm talking 1800whp vettes to numerous AMS alpha omegas

You phrase that like this event will make TX2k evaporate and cease to exist.

AMS is probably a bad example since they're both local, and, a main sponsor.

There's other event's like this one and Tx2k this year was still highest attendance ever(getting to the point of it being out of hand).

It's apples to oranges. And you're not going to grow apple seeds into oranges.

attendance of an event doesn't make it better or worse. Its about the racing and from what i've been told TX2k sucked this year. Have you seen those sorry vids lol. But I guarantee you this is going to have the most cars by far of any 1/2 mile event to date and more then the event you are referring to. And this will have fastest cars of any 1/2 mile race. Sound Performance with those Supra's! My boy Devin of Boostin performance bringing out The Red Demon, Junk Box Evo and there is a local guy with a HX52 1g running lol. We can't help there are some bad ass local shops and cars out here. We getting down!!!

I was at TX2k, it was fine. My only gripe about it was losing 2 nights to gremlins with my car because it was winter here and I didn't have a chance to shake it down before heading to TX.

And it's the 1/2R package UGR cars that are the fast ones.

there will be some turbo lambos there. Believe me its some big dogs coming out. They street race and go to the big grudge races putting up 2K,5k, 10K bets so you wouldn't see them on youtube to much lol. I sent UGR a email and they didnt respond.

even at TX2k the average UGR lambo is not making 1750whp (not even close lol). Just as the common GTR is not an omega. the most common R35 is an alpha 9.

That is UGR's top package, hence why I said the big dogs. We have a race version in the twin cities, might want to track him down and see if he wants to represent. Just search for Sloss.

There's only four pages in that linked thread and the last post was in January. I wouldn't call that going crazy. There's not much on 6speed or luxury4play either.

I get what you're trying to do, you're just being unrealistic in your claims that this will kill off TX2k.

So is this event going to be mostly at the airstrip, or after hours on the street? I'm confused. I'd actually like to come see this and could probably bring a couple car enthusiasts along, but we don't really have fast cars so we would not be racing.

I can't help but notice how close this event is to Chicago Heights, not exactly a friendly place (I have been there a couple times during the day, would not want to be there at night).

The top speed event in from 8am-6pm june 1-2. Chicago is a huge city lol there is plenty to do afterwards. There will be cruises to local hang out spots, fun on certain streets and highways (I'm sure people will have stuff lined up etc), and family things to do (dave and buster etc). Some talking about hitttin up a few bars etc. This event is in Monee close to Crete IL, nothing like the heights lol. There is plenty of money in Monee and you will be safe lol. And your car doesnt have to be fast. That's not whats its about. Just come watch, hang out, and have a good time.

UGR got back to me. Here's their response.

UGR:WOW. Thats a lot of GTR's. I think they are coming to the next TI event.

Then there are some 7 and 8 sec drags and street cars running. over 150 car cap for regular per day and even more cars per day for the vendor shoot out. could be 250+ cars per day

Ok. There has been talk of rain by weather people for Saturday 40-60%. The Event may be postponed to the following weekend if this happens. They will have a decision by 3pm tomorrow.

event has a nice turn out. Buschur even shoed up. The shop never got to tune my car due to our schedule but Reichen did 1 or 2 pulls at 29psi to get afr's nice and safe. 1st pass Car ran 154.99 mph on the last minute tune. 2nd pass car was hauling ass. Car next to me jumped on me and ran 158mph. But I was pulling on him like a freight train lol then throttle cable broke in of 4th and I coasted to 153.87mph.
