I registered today! My AX plans got canceled, so I can make it to the cookout! Not that my race car is going to win any car show trophy's.

Few car show cars would be worth a sh*t on the track, either. Everyone buys their car for different reasons. I'm going DD/car show on mine but I think there's a certain elegance in race cars.

I actually ordered a few Evo parts from Ultimate Racing although they are decidedly not 'pretty' but are instead "pretty" race parts. Know what I mean?

The real down-to-Earth race cars that I've seen were held together with duct tape. Real racing is 90% driver and 10% car. I have no illusions about what I'm up to. ;)

So, once again, here is your checklist:

3) Fill out your car sign ahead of time (leave car # blank)

5) Bring your lawn chair, sunscreen and your appetite, on Sunday

Me too. Sounds like you'll want a lawn chair at the least.

My car is new/stock so won't be much to see. Next year I'll have some mods and know what to bring.

Yep, bring a lawn chair for hanging out. Or a digital camera if you want some pics. After you park your car in the 2g DSM row, then you just go up to the registration table and get registered. Then you'll be all set for an afternoon of some cool Mitsus and some food.

Mark and I usually bring our pop-up tents. If its not too windy they'll be up for us to chill under. Sunscreen is a must!

Strange. That is the right address, and I got a paypal earlier today. I'd just try again later. Maybe Paypal is just having problems. I just checked my account and everything seems fine.

I can't quote that enough. My first year at the cookout, I got burned. The sun plus the hot asphalt and the sun bouncing off all of the cars... I was so sunburned I got heat stroke that night and thought I was going to die!

So bring sunscreen, and a chair. :)

Hey everyone,

The All Mitsu Cookout is almost here!! Its this Sunday from 11am to 4pm. I've updated the sign up list. We have surged up to 139!! Looking good.

If you haven't signed up and are still thinking about coming, you still can. We can handle walk ups just fine. The weather is looking fantastic this weekend. There is no reason not to come and spend an afternoon with a bunch of other Mitsu nuts.

Registration will be a little different this year. When you get to the school, we will collect the money and hand out wristbands at the entrance to the lot. Then you'll go park your car in the appropriate row. After that, you'll take your car sign and wristband up to the registration desk and get your car number and voting slip.

If you are coming, without a Mitsu, you can just drive to the back of the school and park. If you are eating you can still pay and get a wristband at the registration table.

If you are interested in the dinner on Saturday night, for the out of towners, we are meeting at 6:30pm. We will be eating at Davanni's, in Rogers. A map and details are at the bottom of the Cookout page: http://cookout.mn3s.org

The dinner is the night before the Cookout. DiMaggio's has good pizza, but there seating area isn't the greatest. We have the party room reserved at Davanni's.

Well I developed some sort of misfire today, noticed my plugs covered in oil. changed the gaskets, and am hoping for the best tomorrow night after everythings all set and cured! I really dont wanna miss this! :(
