What a fuckin awesome time. We had a great group of people out there today, what maybe 20 people total?

For a first track experience, this was nothing shy of awesome for me. Really nice to have some veterans there to show me the ropes, give me pointers, etc. Big thanks to everyone who helped me.

Quick rundown of my day:

Ran a few high 13's at first while dealing with clutch slippage, and missing gears while shifting.

Then ran a mid 12 as I started to get the hang of things.

Then had a run that just went together pretty well compared to all the other passes, and ran my best run of the night (I'm on the right)http://www.dsmstyle.com/photopost/da...slip_11_22.JPG

Didn't get kicked off, didn't even get spoken to about the run :D So got back in line hoping to 1-up that run, but the next two runs the clutch was slipping the entire time.

But I'm really excited about an 11.2 for my first track experience, ever. Should be able to knock a few tenths off that with some more time under my belt.

Elite had an awesome car there, that nearly got kicked off after the first pass!

OK that's enough from me. I'm just real happy with how everything went, and can't wait to do it again ASAP!!!

You definently have a 10 second car. Just have to get the car to launch good. Was great meeting ya, you have one very nice car.

Those two early 90's sentras were impressive though. They were all motor I think both in the mid 13's. Clean nice looking cars.

Did you see those two 15 second hondas both snap their axles at the launch? Like, both at the same time!

yes, then the one jackass rolled half way down the track towards us, instead of stopping, prolly putting down trans fluid all over, and making the removal only last that much longer..

Yup. Man, I could go on all day about some of the idiots there. There were a few who were more so burning out through 1st and 2nd than actually launching. But who am I to talk, I've never been on the track.

Had a blast!!! I think that brandon should go back down on the 31st and we should get even more ppl to at least come and spectate! I sat in the stands and and watched and it was a great time.

It was especially nice having so many people there running too. There were what like 5 1G's out there running, Brian in his GVR4 ,and Elite's Nissan. So many people to cheer on, what a great time! I'd love to out there in a group like this again, with even more cars racing like Swifty, brownman, Momin, Old Man Hill *gasp*...

I'm still just so excited, thanks for setting this up Brian!

I noticed a little rod knock after the last run. Good thing I'm pulling the motor.

Nice run Brandon. Thats pretty impressive for your first time. I definitly got to get out there soon. you guys should go to a fun day instead of the sport compact. Way less morons out there on the fun days and usually beter track prep.
