Re: My Talon

Once it warms up, I'll be modding my dumped o2 for the tial vband and vband for my downpipe to o2. Once that's done, my manifold, hot side, and o2 will be coated, most likely a silver ceramic coating. I may or may not relocate the alternator with a GM one, and/or add an external oil cooler.

why? whats may?

I'm gonna have it all done as soon as it averages over 30-35 degrees. Doesn't mean I'll be driving it anytime, depends when the roads are clean too!

I'll think about it. It's actually a ported 2g manifold lol ;) I was gonna use that 14b for the civic!

What did you do with that 14b I sold to you forever ago.

Re: My Talon

I'm getting about $750 back from taxes this year, that will pretty much pay for ECMLink v3!

I have looked at getting an ultra lightweight/portable netbook just for Link only!

I will be doing some maintenance stuff as well, I'll order some new NGK wires, plugs, Mitsu thermostat, front wheel bearings and seals, lower ball joints and outer tie rod ends. Then I will be sending the car to "Jeff the Alignment Guy!"

Ball joints are not that bad on 1G's.

Looks really clean though.

Re: My Talon

Took off the turbo and manifold, radiator, waterpipe, and thermostat housing this afternoon. I found one of my coolant lines to my oil cooler was leaking, and the long hardpipe gets in the way of my Holset, so I'm just gonna get a 90 OFH and do an external setup. Also getting a used 90 N/T thermohousing and waterpipe.

I noticed the Ebay o2 housing I have is really tiny compated to my turbo outlet, I'm gonna have to hog the shit out of it or get a new one.

Re: My Talon

Almost all of them are. I had to widen mine aswell. It still isn't really wide enough but at least the lip isn't as bad and is radiused. But now I have an o2 housing given to me from another guys build that has a larger diameter outlet that i'm going to modify. If I knew where to get that flange outright, I'd give you the info.

Re: My Talon

I ordered my OFH feed line, an FP inline filter/restrictor for journal bearing turbos, a bunch of parts from Mitsu (thermostat, rad. cap, 90 OFH, etc), and a ebay SS 3" bolt on v-band o2 housing with external gate recirc'd. I just got my tax return so Link version 3 here we go!

I also shopped around for my dedicated tuning computer, decided on a MSI Wind Netbook! Will be getting it from Microcenter as soon as they get them in stock again next week.
