How often do you see a picture of a girl's hand with painted finger nails holding up a tape measure to the inlet of a turbo? LOL

I have a 23lb cat. He isn't "fat" just a monster. Scares small dogs at the vet, I even saw it attack a deer in my backyard. Sometimes he even drags home smalls pups in his mouth.

GT42R, but I don't understand how it could have an internal gate on it either!

In the end, with them also filling in some minor dents, it cost around $900 I believe. It's not stock quality, but don't take that the wrong way, because it looks great. There were some small little bubbles, and a couple little drips, in inconspicuous areas. The car looks much better. I'd recommend it to anyone not wanting to spend more on their cars paint job, then they did on the car itself.

Very nice! What cams are you planning on using?

craig 03-30-2008 11:09 AM

Re: My projects

So far basically same setup in the head as I have, looks good.

kittay 03-30-2008 12:07 PM

Re: My projects

Sweet :) The head was on the 2.4 block and figured snatch it since I'll need some heavier duty springs for fp3x cams.. so stoked it was all ready to go :)

I'm just going to run stock cam gears.. figured the cam gears were almost a waste of money for such little gain. I'm having them powdercoated :D

craig 03-30-2008 03:42 PM

Re: My projects

yeah i got the adj gears and have yet to do anything with them.

Re: My projects

Re: My projects

Thanks :)

Last night I got the TB disassembled and soaking in solvent, needed a rebuild. Stoked since I'm learning all this new stuff :)

My head's all ready to go:
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSC07463.jpg
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSC07464.jpg

Cleaned up under the motor some more, getting rid of wires:
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSC07465.jpg

Just waiting on gaskets now..

JET 04-07-2008 03:28 PM

Re: My projects

Did you throw any assembly lube on the cams in the head? I don't see any. The aluminum scores quite easily up there! Are the pistons in yet?

kittay 04-07-2008 04:46 PM

Re: My projects

I lubed it up :)
In the second pic with the VC you can see the assembly lube at the bottom. Don't worry I get very particular about ensuring it was clean enough and all. lol
Bottom end's all finished up, got most all of my gaskets today, rest comes in this week.
Spending 200$ just in gaskets.. :ugh:
