Good job, Brian. Hopefully you're finally getting some satisfaction out of your work.

A//// Guy 07-25-2004 02:35 AM

That is awesome Brian!!! Dynofest? ;)

SlowWhite 07-26-2004 08:32 AM

Yes I am very very satisfied with the numbers it pulled. Been a hell of a long time coming and I've finally felt like I've gotten my money's worth out of my set up.

I got pretty excited when I saw that I made more then Steve Hill (temporarely I'm sure) As we were backing it off the Dyno I thought of something funny. I only needed 4 more whp to be ahead of Shane on the Top 10 DSM List. hehehe :bounce:

But I have no regrests. I went in there only wanting 430whp, And after breaking that on our first pull on C-16, 438whp. I said at this point I've reached my mark and anything else is just extra. Well Shane said well lets at least do one more run and start to at least lean it out a bit. Still running Rich only taking out 2 points on the Fuel sliders netted me the 456.7whp. At which point I said lets stop I don't know how much more the stock block can handle. (shane agreed so we called it a night)

However we did find quite a few things wrong with the car.

-Oil lines need sealed (threads are leaking)
-Oil Pan needs to be removed and bolt holes Welded and retapped (I stripped them and they are now leaking)
-My Rear Differencial is also leaking again. So I have to take that out and reseal it
-My Radiator Cap is leaking (found that out yesterday which is why my cars been running so hot)

SlowWhite 07-26-2004 11:55 AM

don't know if I mentioned the PSI or not.... but:

Pump Gas: 22psi.... - Creeping from 22-25psi from 7200-8,000rpms.
Race Gas: 25psi....Creeping to 26/27psi from 7200-8,000rpms (basically for the first time since we started it was actually holding a constant PSI)

Goat Blower 07-26-2004 07:45 PM

Damn, I've been beaten by the ricemobile ;) Guess I'll have to get this thing tuned up and go put down some numbers.

Nice work. :toast:

SlowWhite 07-27-2004 10:40 AM

I wouldn't say beaten - I know your car would kill mine anyday of the week. And I'm sure once you get it up and running my time at #8 will be short lived.

Hell once Chris, Cher, Shane, and Jet - get there cars up and running - I know I'll be back down at about the #12 spot.

That's awesome! :dsmrule: Are you going to be able to handle all that power or is Mara going to have to drive it for you?

SlowWhite 08-20-2004 08:25 AM

That's Awesome. So when is are you hitting the track? hehe

We really need to get everyone together for at least 1 event before the end of the year.

TalonFiero 08-20-2004 10:07 AM

Congrats Shane!

Wow! Over 600 to the wheels. What are the specs on that turbo? When does it spool? 2.0l?

A//// Guy 08-21-2004 04:36 AM

Holy crap! SWEET #'s!

Nash 08-21-2004 04:58 AM

Good, now I don't have to try and keep my mouth shut about it, awesome numbers!

Raptor 08-21-2004 07:26 AM

Nice numbers Shane ;)

niterydr 08-21-2004 09:20 AM

Nice numbers shane, looks like a steady power supply once she spools :).

Enes 08-21-2004 11:45 AM

JET 08-21-2004 01:19 PM

Bad ass Shane! Gratz on getting that thing going again. How does she pull on the road??

Shane@DBPerformance 08-21-2004 01:33 PM

It's only a dyno queen so far. I ripped one of my driver's side CV boot's to shreds on the dyno and need to fix that along with a few other things before I can drive it on the street. The car is heavy, especially with me in it, so it will probably be compareable to Nash's, if the torque doesn't rip the driveline apart.

AJ 08-21-2004 02:26 PM

Sweet Number! 600! That's fucking awesome! Congrats SHane, been a long time comming and hope she holds together for ya!

At-Least-It's-An-Evo 08-21-2004 05:00 PM

Shane totally kicked all our asses on the dyno. My pile 2.0L 14b/Ptrim can't even compare, but here she is...

JET 08-21-2004 05:30 PM

Not bad Cher! That is some major lag though. I know there is a lot left in your car.

Goat Blower 08-21-2004 11:43 PM

Holy shit, you fucking homos just took all my chances of ever getting a good spot on the board. Congrats, I think I'll go beat myself with my dinky 60-1. :censored:

Raptor 08-22-2004 01:11 AM

No kidding Steve, buy a real turbo and quit pissing around. :stick: I have a heavy piece of steel you can borrow if you would rather beat yourself with that and save the cute little turbo!

Nice numbers Cher!

ACRucrazy 08-22-2004 07:47 PM

What? You would like some horsepower for your torque now?

SlowWhite 08-23-2004 11:36 AM

Ya I heard about Shanes numbers at the Autovations show.

Congrats.

I also heard Cher already messed up his Shep tranny? is that true or was it something simple?

Shane@DBPerformance 08-23-2004 11:45 AM

Cher just broke something in his shift linkage, he fixed it already.

SlowWhite 08-23-2004 11:50 AM

That's good news.

Ya the guy who was "Cruising" next to you said your car looked Awsome when you'd hit the gas. And he was also shocked to see an AWD get squirly on the HIGHWAY... hehehehe

Enes 08-23-2004 11:58 AM

who was this "guy" cruising next to me?

SlowWhite 08-25-2004 08:47 AM

A certian High HP Honda, and it wasn't Tyler.

He said you guys fiddled with it for a while on the side of the road but you only could get into 2nd and 4th.

But at least you lived close by so you limped it home, etc.... anyways glad to hear it was something simple and not the tranny.

Are you talking it to the track this weekend? if so which one? Cedar or Rock Falls?
