does any one have the videos of my mustang killing 14 sec runs. I'd like to see them so I can feel fast.

Mr Raced 08-30-2004 11:06 PM

What did a lo run ??? :secret:

JustROLLIN 08-30-2004 11:23 PM

In case anyone is curious I ran a best of 15 flat. Yeah, a full second SLOWER than last year on a better setup. I could not pull better than a 2.4 60ft all day. That was my first time trying to launch the 2600 and damn, I need some practice.

The car felt like it would run a 13.7-13.2 on the freeway, but I could not get it down the track. Next time, next time.

john 08-30-2004 11:40 PM

I saw A low get 13.59 or something on his first pass and cannot remember about the rest. Maybe 13.29 or something on the next???

Super Bleeder!! 08-30-2004 11:46 PM

why don't you FWD ers just get some awd axles

JustROLLIN 08-31-2004 12:50 AM

A-lo ran a 13.1.

a-lo 08-31-2004 04:05 AM

hey guys the track was fun, thanks for lettin' me roll down and hang out with you. my three runs before i packed up to go home were.
13.51\
13.58-all at 104.?? my best r/t was .8 something( i was waiting for
13.19/ people to tell me to go, hehe)

I was happy with my times cause i've never raced before. i think i with some more practice i could pull off12.9 or 12.8.
once again thanks to the guys i went down there with.
A-lo

MustGoFaster 08-31-2004 07:41 AM

Well, according to DSMtimes.org, I have the fastest 14B powered Galant VR4. Should put my time in.

SlowWhite 08-31-2004 09:01 AM

Congrats Ryan. - But does the spray count against you?

Pushit2.0 08-31-2004 10:40 AM

fastest is fastest no matter how you get there. Race gas and more boost next time right?

A//// Guy 08-31-2004 11:17 AM

How big of a shot are you running by the way? And what do you think you could lay down as far as times without spray at the same PSI? Or did you not even try.

SlowWhite 08-31-2004 11:47 AM

actually for the first part of the day he wasn't using it. And was running really close to those time even with out it. Or at least for a while most of use where saying it didn't seem like it was making much of a difference, etc?

Steeltwo 08-31-2004 05:43 PM

ahhhh that was you guys on Sunday

i'll have to stop over and talk with everyone next time.

MustGoFaster 08-31-2004 07:53 PM

The 12.7 was with a 75 shot. Ran a 13.2 with the 50 shot. 60' for both those runs was only .001 different (1.844) But with out it is 14.0 but that was with a shitty 2.1 60' (no I don't spray in first) So with a good 60' around a 13.8 should be doable. ALL runs were on 15 PSI and 92 octane pump gas. Oh and it's NOT tuned under 10:1 AFR's.

As far as the NO2 counting against me, well you could have it too.

Shane@DBPerformance 08-31-2004 10:10 PM

Yea, I ran 13.1@64mph. Pretty good for a Honda. We spent all night working on the car trying to get it ready to race and went straight to the track. I had a shitty spinning launch with a 1.90 60' and then some bad driving and misfiring and revlimiter hitting until the intercooler blew apart. My datalog said it happened 5.8 seconds into the run, but it doesn't start logging until I go over 90% throttle, which I assume happened not too long after I launched. The 1/8th mile was a 7.5 and it was definately all-motor by then and I hit my brakes once I thought I passed the 1/8th mile mark. I only wanted to make an 1/8th mile run to start with to make sure that my brakes actually worked well enough before I went all out.

Or a stickier set of tires and some suspension tuning tricks. AWD axles don't do diddly.
