Too bad people like him will never be elected, because the population is so one-sided now, you have to be full on republican or democrat. No republican who says abortion is acceptable sometimes, or gay marriage, but wants to cut taxes and spending by a massive 50% will even get elected. I think people care more about those type of social issues than anything these days, they should be far less important imho.

I would prefer Ron Paul, but Rand is a better option in my mind than most. And I like that he's more or less just playing the game - running under the republican ticket despite not really being a republican.

LOL, One thing that will definitely make Hillary win, is that the republicans tend to not have a filter on womens issues. And everytime they say something remotely sexist, Hillary gets another 100,000 moderates to vote for her. It will come down to the republicans ability to dodge any woman issue statements. which seems to be nearly impossible.

But I thought women were only worth 1/3 vote or whatever, so we can afford to piss some off right? Or is it 1/5?

Re: 2016 Presidential election

Well if im allowed to vote this time I plan to vote for rand paul.

Last time when I wanted to write in Ron paul. They said I couldnt and only gave two options for voting republican or democratic.

Its discusting actually that I cant even cross party vote in elections. Regardless of what's its for.
Im a none partisan and would prefer to choose the candidate best suited for each specific job.

But here in south carolina you have to vote for a party, and then it gives you only the options for people in that party. (I honestly cant remember it being like that in any other state I lived in, but I didnt pay much attention to politics when I was younger)

I have my thoughts on trump and I think he's going about this the wrong way, however he's still a better option than Hillary will ever be.
