I'm looking at getting some new wheels/tires soon. I'm leaning towards some black rpf1's like everybody has because they are light and cheap. http://www.oakos.com/Merchant2/graph...01/RPF1BLK.jpg Or I was thinking maybe gunmetal or hyper black rota torques. I'd love a set of work's but I'm far too cheap to spend that kind of money on wheels http://www.wheeldude.com/gallery2/d/...erblack_02.jpg http://lsdmotorsports.com/merchant2/...e-Gunmetal.jpg Thoughts/input appreciated! |
Re: Brad's 5th DSM...
Yeah its a tire valve stem. Wanna go riding saturday?
|
Re: Brad's 5th DSM...
Oh. That looks just like carpet padding which is why I assumed mice must have been living in the heater core
|
Re: Brad's 5th DSM...
I have rota torques on my 2g. I like them, they are 17x8 +35 and black

Re: Brad's 5th DSM...
Did you look at the Konig feathers or konig daylites?
|
Re: Brad's 5th DSM...
It put down 263awhp at 22.5 psi when it came in. I don't think another 3.5psi would put it up to 409awhp. So take internet dyno number claims with a grain of salt. Maybe some E85 next week to see if it can get over 350.

This may be the world's largest grain of salt. |

Re: Brad's 5th DSM...
LOL @ #'s
Maybe they need to re-calibrate their dyno, if that's possible? |
Re: Brad's 5th DSM...
Big thanks to Shane for looking over the tune and fitting it on the dyno! Came in knocking and left up almost 30awhp and no knock.
And because everybody likes pictures, here is the wack dyno run and some other randoms http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmeG-Z7WQLo&feature=plcp&context=C469c964VDvjVQa1PpcFMk 6Y4T-8wicV634aAQJEEIq6EWmqnLhaQ%3D&hd=1 http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...A/3bfc2280.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...A/bc81295b.jpg Before the Shane tune http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...9c69502d-1.jpg After Shane's tune http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...a835e3cf-1.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...A/c001058d.jpg Plan on putting corn in it this weekend and head back for an e70 tune next week:spin: Also going to be keeping my eye out for an aftermarket intake manifold, fp exhaust manifold, some sort of 02 housing with an external wastegate setup and maybe a set of different cams if I find a really good deal on a used set. So much for leaving this thing alone... Still pulls way harder than the s2k even did :D Thanks for the info on the wheels Chris. That's the exact same offset tire setup I'm looking at tomorrow. Glad to hear it'll fit. I did look at the feathers and just looked at daylites and I'm not 100% sure I like the look of them. Plus the rpf1's I'm looking at tomorrow are a pretty good deal. |

^ahhh i see, the evo you had was just sick. one of my favorite bby evos
|
Re: Brad's 5th DSM...
Thanks! I really miss the evo but I do not miss a car payment. Also insurance is so much cheaper on this car and dsm parts are so much cheaper than evo stuff.
