My "next round" mods list should put the car around 450-500awhp on E-85 easily, which would be fun as it is using TD04 based turbochargers. However that list is expensive and only time will tell. Going to use E-85 and stock sidemounts (unless I can find a cheap FMIC setup) to keep it "stealth" I am in no rush to complete the project, but some snow would be great for my plowing side job! Otherwise, hopefully there will be some additional tuning/building opportunities this spring as well to supplement this vehicle. Otherwise, I will be at the proving grounds pit crewing for John's Galant VR4, either way I plan on going. |
Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt
Nice. The bar set from previous years says stock appearing will be 12.0 and quicker.
what you think you could run with that much power? |

I would suspect the winner of SA this year will be in the 11.2 range, based on conversation from esteemed message boards as this. |

More goodies to the build:
3" SS downpipe ordered (shipped) Deatschwerks 1000cc injectors ordered Fuel lab "mini" FPR ordered DW301 pump ordered AN y-fitting ordered AEM Wideband sensors ordered Center Gauges on stand-by Now for some fabrication (intercooler piping, fuel rails, cat-back), porting (intake manifold, turbine housings, exhaust manifolds), fuel line layout and creation, and a few final pieces to be ordered (boost control solonoid, FMIC) and it is go time! Should be ready by April no problem. Looks like E-85 + all supporting fuel mods + stock turbo's to start, see if I can figure out a way to upgrade TD04's before the proving grounds, if not, should be "Fun" on the 9b's. Most I've heard of with 9b's was 379hp/480TQ. Car is thinned out and turns 10.9@124! I won't be anywhere near close to that, in fact I'll be happy with low 12's to start, haha! |
Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt
Any plans to do BIR or even some Auto X with this beast? I would think the DCTC course would be fun in this car!

The added advantage of increased timing should make for a really torque monster down low. |
Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt
I'd love to see it at DCTC, I think that TQ with AWD would be fun. Need you get you in the Miata at some point this year as well!

Holy mother fucker!!!!!!!!!
I never thought I'd see you in a 3S!!!!!!!!!!! By reading this I want to see you take down stock appearing class at proving grounds!!!!!!!! |
Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt
Thank you Nate. This one will not have the highway presence the last build had for quite some time.
Stock appearing is the goal, but having parts assembled and a contending car are pretty far apart right now. As the season progresses we will see how this car performs. Update: Ordered New 8mm NGK plug wires and MAC Boost control solenoid last night. |
Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt
Sounds like you are gettin the parts in, but u will need more than 12s to win SA.
