Re: e85 question

If you get dsmlink theres no reason not to just get he 1000's the drivability will still be fine, only time you want to get inj juts big enough is with an SAFC setup.

how much boost are you running and what pump do you have? is this a track car or dd if its dd what kinda mpg do you get? and i wold like to know your idc% please? =)

It's my every day car. I get 16-18 ripping around short trips, and 20-23 on the highway. As I said, I think IDC is just a stupid number and I don't care about, so I don't know what it was. I've made some changes, which currently are not finished so I'm driving my 1G right now.

On the street right before I think it was around 28 on the low end tapering to about 22-23 according to my autometer boost gauge. I wish they were logging boost so I would know for sure. It was just at a dyno day, so no dyno tuning or changes at all.

alright

Re: e85 question

Why would you need a AFPR? Only time people swap those out is when they go to a pump setup bigger than a 255LPH... And no they don't leak when you run E85 through them. I usually just run the gas tank till the lights on, and then go fill er up. You can set it first then drive it too the gas station, but it will run really rich, I doubt it would run if you don't set it then fill it up, cause it would be too lean. Ideally you just bring the laptop with and switch the setup at the gas station.

Re: e85 question

I have 3 of my own DSM's, and a friends Evo and DSM all with 255hp pumps and E85 with the stock FPR's. No issues.

Re: e85 question

Stock fpr is fine, put money into something else.

Re: e85 question

well i found out i dont have a eprom ecu i think the guy i bought it swapped it out before he sold it to me(dick) it has a 1992 laser fwd ecu in it right now. so should i send it in to dsmlink people and have them do the conversion for 90 bucks? or buy one for 200 bucks and sell this one for 40 or 50?

CarPsyco84 08-21-2010 02:18 PM

Re: e85 question

Sounds cheaper to convert it... Just do that, its less hassle that way too.

Re: e85 question

Yeah, the ECU I have is a 90 too so you don't have to swap wires.
