I mainly wanted the big wing and HID's. The fancy stereo and FASTkey are ok but nothing I would have paid extra for individually. Navigation would have been nice but I'm not paying Mitsu's insane price on it; might watch for a used one though. The dealership did have a WW GSR base that just rolled off the truck still in plastic wrap so it crossed my mind for a few seconds.

I do like HID. I've put those PIAA super whites in most of my other cars and like them well enough, though.

I ran the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs in my DSM's and IX and they worked well enough, I always missed the HID's from my S2k though. I will have to aim them a bit higher though, even with the adjustment dial at 0 the seem to point too low.

Sick car, that is the color I would get too if I got one, that or black would be sweet.

I basically threw the keys to my x at Kracka and let him flog it at the dyno day. With the slight changes, these cars are a hoot, but stock these cars are not setup out of the box like they should be and can be a bit dissapointing if you were a previous evo owner. For less then $500, which includes tune, alignment, and rear swaybar mods really wake this car up to what a evo should be.

What are the specs of your alignment? I know you showed me the sheet, but I forgot. I plan to get it aligned within the next week or two (had the 1-year unlimited plan from NTB on my IX and it's transferable).

-2.5* in the front with -1.5* in the rear, zero toe :)

That is mine and seems to be what most people run on the X's.

Might be a bit aggressive, but it felt great and I needed as much as I could with my tire/rim setup.

Coilovers, right? I'm thinking of just sticking with Goofygrin's "aggressive street" settings to start:

Front:
Toe: 0*
Camber: -1.5* to -2* each side
Rear:
Toe: 0*
Camber: -1*

Nope, i am on stock suspension right now, not even lowered. I had the Whiteline RCK, swift springs and a rear sway coming, but my motor blew so I canceled all that.

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!

From JAG:
Camber F = -2.5 deg
Toe F = -.19 deg
Caster = 4.0 deg
Camber R = -1.5 deg
Toe R = 0 deg

You may want to try maybe slighty less rear camber. The front is actually perfect for DD use with no unusual wear patterns. The 2.5 degress toe was obtained using a bottle jack on the spindle while tightening the flipped strut bolts.

I am also running a perrin rear sway bar with the endlinks set in the middle position on the sway bar. MAP sold me the bar for $169.00.

+1. The bolts that they send with it are a little annoying but it's a very nice mod that's cake to install.

I am contemplating between the Eibach Prokit vs. Swift springs, and the Whiteline (27mm solid) vs. Cobb (27mm hollow) rear anti-sway bar. I ran the Swift/Whiteline combo on my IX.

Definitely easy. I installed a Cobb rear bar on a local X MR (stock springs) and it took me a total of 10 minutes to drop the stock bar and install the Cobb bar.

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!

I'd get the swift, but obviously that is opinion. I have heard the Eibach lower too much and you will hit the bump stops sometimes. The Eibachs look great, but the swifts seem to be better handling which is what I cared about.

I see one bad thread about the whiteline Rear sway about not being able to install it right, but might of been that guy not knowing what he was doing.

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!

I like the mount/bushing design of the Whiteline better (the grease fittings on the Cobb mounts are really nice though), but prefer the lightweight hollow bar of the Cobb better.

Pulling the exhaust is pretty much all the time spent on it.

The Swifts are certainly the most popular.

With a dual-exit exhaust you definitely have to drop it but maybe you could work around a single can.

This was with the stock exhaust, luckily clearance was great.
