Re: Indoctrination in our schools?
Like Kracka said, this whole thread got right off topic from the very start, because a bunch of people jumped in and called the OP a racist. Funny how that same thing happens every single day in the media. Someone calls out Obama on any of his crazy socialist policies and they are immediately a racist. Why can't any dems just actually answer a question directly without throwing up some lame diversion and skirt the issue? Because the general public wouldn't like the answer, that's why. His healthcare plan would bankrupt our system, his foreign policies are the equivalent of falling on our sword, and he spends all of his time tearing down everything good about America and replacing it with filth. And for all of that, we get kindergartners chanting his name in school. My son is in kindergarten, and if I ever hear he's chanting Obama in school, I'll be down there in a hot second. Next we'll have 40" bronze statues of him in every major city in the country.

Re: Indoctrination in our schools?
I wasnt pointing the blame finger, or racist finger, I was saying, that saying someone is a certain color of a new jersey accent is being about as retarded as they come. So suddenly an entire state is black because they have a new jersey accent. Makes sense.
clap, clap, clap. Glad you guys got the thinking caps on. Im out. |

I personally have positive bias toward Asian folks...I have had lots of great Asian friends over the years and like to travel over there. Should we fix *that* bias too, while we're at? |
Re: Indoctrination in our schools?
Has nobody learned that politics+mitsustlye=FTL!!!! Every other week someone brings up some politcal issue and expects nobodys panties to get up in a bunch. Politics and religion are straight stupid topics to discuss on a forum, nothing gets accomplished.

Re: Indoctrination in our schools?
Ok since I got called out by Kracka, Im not running from any issue. I was just getting tired of trying to get an answer for what a black person is SUPPOSED to "sound like".
And Mloker, if you dont believe in the country you live in, then why live there. That would be similar to using a product you dont believe in, or a following a religion you dont believe in. Im not trying to make the USA sound like a cult or religion but there is a reason people are called Patriots. Its because they believe in the country, and what the country stands for. In fact, if you didnt read earlier, Im totally for peoples individual freedoms, just not at the expense of others, also, tolerance, and logic would be nice. You cant expect to walk into a catholic church and throw down your blanket, face to the east and praise Allah without getting some flak. |
Re: Indoctrination in our schools?
That shit shouldn't be in schools.
With that comment said: -How can you say Matt D is racist? He drives a black car. -Viridionplague, I could tell you were white because of your bright white letters in your name. -Matt, I don't know if I would say Goodheart has a clue :D Politics= Who cares I mainly just try to help the losing team with the political battles on here. |

Re: Indoctrination in our schools?
Ebonics. Think about it. How did the name for that "slang" come about?
Either way, I agree that that crap doesn't belong in schools. Keep politics out of the classroom until the student chooses if they want to take part in a class based on politics. |
Re: Indoctrination in our schools?
Haha oh man this is humorous.
This thread should not be focused on color, but the messed up praising of Obama. I can see how it was thrown off, and Matt probably should have left that comment out of the first post but who cares? I dunno how I feel about saying black people sound different. Some do, some dont. Some songs on the radio, mostly women, I cant tell if some are black or white. In this instance that only applies to the topic because a black person typically is more pro obama than a white person, and thats due to "the man," it seems. |
