I call co-pilot ride again!

Re: 91 Galant VR4
[QUOTE I also might have to upgrade to a ball bearing version of the GT4202, the standard bearing version will not last forever at high boost. And thanks for looking.
~John[/QUOTE] So do you want to sell it for a 2nd time. Shane is selling a gt4294r for cheap |
Re: 91 Galant VR4
I will run the turbo I have until something bad happens. The 4294 would be to small for what I want to do with the car.

Re: 91 Galant VR4
Guy in pa went 9.40@150s@35psi
did 9.09@164@44psi, what more u want? (u r crazy) |
Re: 91 Galant VR4
I drove my car when it was making 47psi, and it was not fast enough.
|
Re: 91 Galant VR4
I could of told you that.
GT4202 74mm, was making 933awhp 2 years ago ran mid 9s. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMz8RlCmh0g |
Re: 91 Galant VR4
It only ever made 30-35 PSI on the dyno, the clutch wouldn't let it make anything more.

Re: 91 Galant VR4
I can't wait to see this car back on the road! Good luck finishing up the build.

Engine bay shoot, its getting a little crowed in there again. http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...icture_107.jpg Just enough room for the SMIM. http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...icture_108.jpg I will find a spot to stick the waste gate. http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...icture_112.jpg The baby eater back home. http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...icture_121.jpg Yes that is diamond plate. http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...icture_115.jpg This is one of the only good runs the car made at high boost, and we let off early for some reason, it revs to ~9700rpm and this run ended at ~9000rpm. http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...icture_119.jpg Here is a MPH power band display. That is Kyle's 1g off the spray, again my run was shut down early so I "guessed" what it would do based on the WG pressure runs that were brought to redline. The boost does spike on my car, then the clutch slips and it settled at 36psi, on the street I logged as high as 47psi stable. The car was making the standard ~10hp per psi, at least from WG pressure(26psi) to the higher boost runs (36psi). ~John |
Re: 91 Galant VR4
Looking good.
I found the non cruise cable for you |
Re: 91 Galant VR4
Looks crazy in there.

The exhaust manifold broken down to the runners for finish welding. http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...m/P1010095.JPG Mounting the Kirkey race seat. http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...m/P1010096.JPG http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...m/P1010098.JPG http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...m/P1010099.JPG http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...m/P1010097.JPG Yes, there are race seats going into the back of the car. The exhaust manifold is almost done, I just need to place the waist gate and port it. I will be putting the head back on this weekend, then finish up the fab needed to get this thing on the engine dyno. ~John |
Re: 91 Galant VR4

http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...icture_134.jpg
http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...icture_137.jpg The head is now ready to put back onto the short block. http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...icture_139.jpg This is where the exhaust rocker tried to exit the head. http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...icture_129.jpg http://www.mitsustyle.com/photopost/...icture_133.jpg I have to make a new end tank for the water to air to the throttle body, so I started on the turbo side to eliminate the inter cooler pipe I used before. I have a few more ideas to make working on the front of the car easier, and it should shed a few more lbs in the process, more to come on this over winter. ~John |
Re: 91 Galant VR4
