Re: The new setup for spring!

It only does that when I just get done driving it and its hot... Its not tuned yet and takes a little bit more... otherwise it starts right away..

Re: The new setup for spring!

Yeah that's normal for a DSM to start like that during a hot start, my GSX did the exact same thing and it's very embarrassing when there's a hot chick around and you're trying to act balla in your 2G.

Looks good dude, get it tuned!

Re: The new setup for spring!

LOL thanks and yes It will be tuned on wed at 12 if I can get off my ass and get the last things hooked up and done! I'm taking a break from trying to hook up my 2 step on my car just because I'm not little and getting under that dash is the biggest B@T$# in the WORLD!!

Still need to put the radiator in and get the e85 and such...
I'm going tomorrow to have primo weld a 02 bung on my exhaust for my wideband, then I have to install that and my 2 step at the moment..
I changed the oil today and the engine finally has Mobil 1 10w 30 synthetic

Don't you work with Vandde?

Re: The new setup for spring!

You need to do wiring under the dash for a 2-step on a 2G? Seems odd, as on a 1G it's a function inside Link that requires no wiring.

Glad you got her started!!

Ya you have to hook the wire from the clutch to the ecu Its more of a tap into the clutch wire... And thanks but I just ran into a problem today... My a/c fan that I have been using to cool my car when it isnt running is toast because of the heat... "wires melted"

Thanks but I think Im a little SOL because I installed the radiator and hooked up the slim fans so that I could run them both for cooling istead of one and one of them is kinda crapping out on me and only blowing like 40% so its still getting hot today...... :(

It seems like your having way to much of an over heating problem. Maybe your water pump is leaking or just not working properly. You shouldnt be having that much of a problem after installing a aluminum radiator

Good luck that's all

Re: The new setup for spring!

I'm still overheating!!

I put spacers on the hood
Removed the thermastat " MAP recomended it "
Bought a mishimoto radiator and cap
running mostly water and some coolent
have 2 mishimoto 12 inch slim fans running at all times
REMOVED A/C
Put a heat sheild on my manifold and turbo

I had a 180 thermastat in there before I removed it, All of this has been happening since I got it back from map and I dont know what else i could do.... I think it could be my water pump because I will let the car run for 20 min at idle with a funnel and a radiator cap with a hole cut into it to suck in when needed and nothing, but when I turn the car off it bubbles and sucks some in.... the I do it again but at the end it doesnt suck any in... next step I put the cap on and move my car like 25ft then look again and my hose's are callapsed!! what could this be?

Re: The new setup for spring!

Collapsed hoses and hole in radiator cap are it. You gotta have pressure in the system for it work properly. I'd prolly switch to like a 50/50 mix instead of mostly water.
