M///guy: it's a liberal arts degree. Don't know if you understand that, but it's where you don't waste four years studying ONE thing, like business or finance, which I couldn't stand. Put it this way, I've got more worldliness in my pinky than you ever will. Why don't you tell me what your major in college was, so we have equal footing in this retarded argument? You and polish mafia.

LMFAO. This has made me a better person and more independent. I learned early on, that you have to pay for independence. If i wanted my mail to be private i would get my mail before my parents did. Its not a hard concept to grasp. You have no privacy when you arent paying rent or live under your parents roof. Some day you may learn that letting silly shit like this get to you is a waste of your time. If you had something to hide then you should have taken the percautions. My son will have his own privacy to a point, but as a good parent my job is to keep him on the straight and narrow. Just like with drugs and such, when he gets around the age of 15 i will be looking around his room and making sure hes not smoking or doing drugs. Sure he may not like it at the time, but when he becomes successful as an adult because his brain isnt fried, he will thank me. Same thing with his mail if hes living under my roof i have the right as a parent to look through his mail, reason, Because i dont want my son getting in over his head with the law or credit card debt.
Its not because im a strict parent, its because i have been there and know exactly what kids his age do, and i want to make sure he doesnt go down the same path i did. I got big into debt and its the worst feeling in the world. And i managed to get myself out of that with the help from my parents helping me budget money.
I havent gotten married yet, Im actually proposing to my girlfriend Tomorrow night.

No degree is a waste, Honestly you probebly should be able to get any job as long as you have a degree in anything. If its not in your field who cares you can learn it. My brother got a Business degree, and he teaches golf. My other brother went for another major (i forget what it was) and he sells insurance. College degrees show employers that you can learn, and you can work to accomplish goals. Granted with your degree if you want to gain a career in your field its a lot easier. But for the most part thats what a degree does for you. I have an IT degree and im one of the few that actually does what he want to school for. :)

Worldliness, huh?

I'm 28, own a house, a car, and a motorcycle. I went to a University and got a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science focusing on software development, and I graduated in the top 5% of my school. I currently make over $50k a year - over $24/hr to you hourly wage slaves. I speak mulitple languages (not including bad english and ghetto), and have traveled all over North America, South America and Europe. I also have a genius level IQ and have the MENSA membership card in my wallet to prove it.

Don't mock me with your liberal arts degree.

Im a MIS major with a minor in Economics, so I have IT, business and finance covered. ;)

As far as you being more worldy than me? Just because you went to China once, had a fob girlfriend and took some classes regarding east Asia, does not make you more worldly than me. :D

I have also traveled the world, have 100% Polish parents, that moved here while they were my age and have made themselves very successful. I speak Polish and English, although forgot most of my spanish..

How are you so worldly?

LMAO. thats a good one. For me, it's a balance. if i annoy them, they'll annoy me. If im nice, they're nice. it's been like that since i have been born. Earning my degree and handling it nicely is going fairly well. its a good thing my parents dont knowz dez interzwebs. lol.

Re: My mom opens my god damned mail.

FYI: A four year degree doesn't mean you spent four years learning one thing...

I have a liberal arts degree from Normandale and was 1 of 33 juniors to transfer into the Carlson School of Management at the U of M (business school) Fall 2006. In most business programs, you have to take a set of core courses (marketing, IT, Finance, operation, accounting, etc) before entering your major.

I majored in Finance and Accounting and work at a CPA firm, I make plenty. I have 3 houses and a 4 unit apartment complex in side businesses.

To me, a liberal arts degree was pretty much an extension of High School. The "4 year degree" part is where I learned the most.\

Don't have too high of expectations on your first job. Money shouldn't be your first priority in finding a job right after school. Find a company that you like and something you want to do.

We all know he read it.

And as for e-thuggin... I made a joke, which included the commonly used wink smiley, indicating it was a joke. He called me out, specifically, to which I generous replied. :)

Funny. I just yelled at my mom for opening my mail yesterday. I told her my shit was my shit. And my bank account is none of her business.... she says she doesn't do it......... who does then, not my dad who isn't home at the time of mail delivery. Ugh.

That is because I stop by your house everyday and open your mail trying to figure what you are going to run under the hood of the Lexus for Race Wars against Johnny Tran's S2000.:pc:

You guys bitching about lack of privacy while you have your hand in your parent's wallet should get a job and move out into the real world. :aikido:

Yeah, employers don't generally like when you study ONE thing, like what qualities they're looking for. Employers like it when you're worldly, especially Chinese fast food restaurant managers. :rollinglaugh:

I own three, it is hardly free. Now would be a good time to buy though but you would need good credit.

I think he meant it's free at home, but I could be wrong.

I can't imagine moving back home at this point, even if they lived nearby. The extra cash would be nice, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.
