Re: What are your pet-peeves?

People who try "merging" at 40 MPH. That's the same speed difference as someone going 80 MPH, and just as dangerous.

People that don’t plan ahead to merge. Just ho hum down the on ramp and follow the white line into traffic. “oh fuck there’s a giant semi there” If you would have looked like a minute ago, maybe you could have let off, or got on it a little more and not had a problem, dumb-ass.

People that slow down from the speed limit in the separate little merging areas. (separated from the freeway by a curb) There's another half mile to the actual interchange, go the speed limit. The lines are the same distance apart, it's not narrow, rough, any signs that say to go slower. Not all places have them but 394/494 is where I'm talking about. Same deal when getting out of the areas, onto the freeway, they just drive along 10-25MPH under the speed limit, don’t look ahead, or anywhere, and them it’s “oh there’s a car where I need to merge”. Yeah dumb-ass, you’ve been close to/next to it for the last half a mile.

Oh, and dumb people on the internet.

That one gets me too. Sometimes it seems like the more people complain the more it goes up. But I will admit to saying it sucks and trying to figure out how to use less.

Too bad taking the bus to work would take me 2.5 hours, and cost more. Gas would have to be $5.50 a gallon for it to save me anything. It's an 18 minute/12 mile drive for me.

ppl who don't know how to merge onto the highway at the posted speed limit. basicly trying to merge into a 65 zone doing 40 thats how traffic starts backing up

Re: What are your pet-peeves?

I can't believe anyone posted about people who don't know how to use blinkers properly (including leaving them on or not using them at all), well maybe they did but one of my pet peeves is reading big posts when I don't see them at first. I also hate it when people get on my ass, ESPECIALLY when I'm already driving 5-10 over the speed limit. Or how SUV's think they're superior to everyone else when it snows like they don't understand simple physics. I also hate homeless people that beg and when people don't pick up their dogs shit in the park. Or when cops don't abide by the law that they so eagerly enforce.

Fuck I hate a lot of shit, fuck it all.

^haha if ppl are like withing 3 cars of mine always piss me off haha. But yea, my dad is a biker and he's always in the road and I give him shit for it. Like seriously, what's wrong with the bike path? All you do is make cars swerve around into oncoming traffic and get pissed.

I ride a motorcycle (rocket) and it really pisses me off when cars ride my ass. HELLO!! How fucking stupid do you have to be to realize that riding my ass when Im on a motorcycle is the dumbest thing you could do especially because I can stop alot better then you can and there isnt any give when you hit me!! BTFO!

Middle aged woman that can't drive for shit!

People who ride my ass! A brake check always puts them in there place though :)

Re: What are your pet-peeves?

Bicyclists downtown here always ride WITH traffic, like in the car lanes, then will swerve in and out (like on one way streets) of the different lanes. Or make random left hand turns almost causing wrecks.. it's bad :(

But one thing I don't get.. I know motorcyclists hate being tailgated or when a car pulls up to a stop behind them really close. But why is it OK for a motorcycle to tailgate cars and at lights pull up an inch away from the car's bumper?

OH OH OH- and Women who drive large trucks. They're not hauling anything, not towing anything. Just DD'ing them.. They don't understand they have to brake sooner not just slam on the brakes... it's scary!! I hate having trucks behind me, I'm always afraid they'll overestimate their braking ability, esp with how close they like to get

/novel rant

Re: What are your pet-peeves?

I occasionally creep up a little close to people when I'm on my motorcycle. I do it because I intend on going around them as soon as I get the opprotunity, and I know that if I need to stop, I can stop faster than the car infront of me. Also, if possible, I look past the car infront of me just so I can see brake lights before said car shows theirs.

I know, I was referring to Kittay's statement about motorcycles following closely behind cars.
