This thing with the VR-4 motor would be sweet as hell! that whole front clip with driveshafts ect. would of been perfect.

Re: Ricer Pete's Galant

i asked the seller for pics of the dash because he said it was damaged and unusable... other than some scratches and dings, i don't seen anything that can't be fixed with some sanding/painting.

does anyone see something that i'm missing here?

mark - i also asked him about the gas tank. he said he could get it, but it would be $150 extra.

so what i'm thinking is asking the seller to include the gas tank for free since this dash is "damaged and unusable".

let me know what you guys think. isnt it fuckin sexy, though? haha

Honestly I think that going RHD in your car might be going too far, but that is just me. I think having the 2.5TT motor in there would freaking rule though!

why do you say that? im looking for honesty here. im pretty much on the fence about this whole thing.

and as far as i know, theres no tranny stateside that will bolt up to the 2.5. i know theres other options, but if im going to spend 1500 on a motor alone, why not spend 2500 get the trans, driveshafts, etc?

if im going to go for it, i might as well go big. but i dunno... more opinions are welcome.

Can you do just the engine and drivetrain, but leave it LHD?

A//// Guy 04-25-2008 09:36 AM

Re: Ricer Pete's Galant

Yea converting it back to LHD would be even more work than its worth.

TkrPerformance 04-25-2008 09:47 AM

Re: Ricer Pete's Galant

why would you have to convert it back to lhd?
Even if you dont go rhd it is alway's a lot easer to do a swap if you have the full front clip to deal with that way you have all the parts to start with. and the price is good for it sense it comes with the rear subframe and prop shaft for the awd swap. If you leave the car lhd you have to extend all the wiring coming in to the car.

parts missing
the auto climate control
the radio/heater vent panel

Re: Ricer Pete's Galant

That dash is scuffed pretty bad on the top of the gauge pod, from what I can see.

Also, I've extended wires before and it's not hard.

TkrPerformance 04-25-2008 01:02 PM

Re: Ricer Pete's Galant

but it becomes a pain when the ecu sits one the left side (would have to extend them to go to the right side) then you would have to extend the engine bay harness and inside fuse box, dash harrness. form the right side to the left side.
if you want to stay lhd
