Re: manifold advice?

A ported EVOIII manifold flows more than a ported 2G from what I've read. Eitherway, both are good so stick with the ported 2G if thats what you already have (and its still in good usable condition).

For $75 this seems like a damn good deal!

another vote for the FP mani. Thought went into its design and it shows.

Re: manifold advice?

^But is the fp $200 better than an evoIII in my case? I'm only shooting for upper 300awhp.

Re: manifold advice?

Nope, that $200 is better put towards something else, if that is your goal.

Thats what I was thinking. Maybe I'll but another set of 1000cc injectors because I have yet to get mine from jake. :(

You don't need the 1000cc injectors for 300awhp.

Re: manifold advice?

^I said high 300s. 350 would be tits imo.

I had my car tuned with the 50 trim, 680ccs, 255, afpr, and link and she only spit out a sad 265 :( Now I'm pretty sure something was messed up and those numbers weren't right, but o well, get tuned somewhere else I guess. I'd like to run e85 and see what she makes.

Ok,

You don't need the 1000cc injectors for 400awhp.

If he wants upper 300s on e85 might as well get 1000cc injectors.

Them people down soooouth don't understand this e85 stuff

Re: manifold advice?

no they don't.

I have 880s for sale, if that interests you.

HiImBrian 11-28-2007 04:35 PM

Re: manifold advice?

^I've already bought the 1000s so i'll see if those ever get here haha.

And yea I've got the basic idea of how e85 works. I've upgraded all my lines, I've got link, i'll have the injectors, fpr, 255. e85 burns a lot cooler and allows you to up the boost safely. If I'm wrong lmk

Damn, missed that part of it. If we ever get e85 I'll be in heaven.

I still hate E85, its costing tax-payers too much money.

So I don't have to worry about the ethanol eating away at my stock lines. Granted, most people don't see problems for a few months/years, I plan on running e85 for more than just a few months. When I say upgraded, I mean changed stock rubber hoses to braided lines.

Then what do I need? I already said my currents setup only put down 265 on lse's dyno.

Halon 11-28-2007 08:19 PM

Re: manifold advice?

You'll love E85! 400hp on LSE's dyno it some pretty damn good power, and I'd say you won't want anything less then the 1000's.

But I would have spent the money elsewhere instead of fuel lines. No rea need to upgrade them at these power levels. The E85 eating through motors seemed to be blown a bit out of proportion.
