Re: Dynoed today.
Kyles car made 525whp on E85 and 1600's on a single 255HP.
Alex's (maroon 1g that made 405 on LSE's dyno) is on 1000cc injectors and a single 255HP. He made a max of 480whp on our dyno. I think it is safe to say that 375whp is far from the limit of a single 255. |
Re: Dynoed today.
Did you guys check the fuel pressure during the runs? Huge injectors can cover up a fuel pump that is dropping pressure. I am running a single Walbro 255HP on E85, but with 1600cc injectors and would probably make around 520whp on a FWD Dynojet. The 1600s are way over compensating for an overworked fuelpump that is dropping pressure. It isn't the right way to do it, but it is working for now until I get another pump working in there. It is much easier to tell when a fuel pump is giving on a speed density car(AEM EMS or a Honda ECU) without even having to monitor a fuel pressure gauge during a pull, because the fuel requirements won't make sense.

Re: Dynoed today.
Kyle's car wasn't dropping fuel pressure at all at 525whp. We checked multiple times. Base pressure was 35PSI I believe.
We had Alex's car up on the Dyno last night, and at 467whp the fuel pressure was steady under load. We are coming close to the limits of the Stock Unchipped ECU though at this point. The car is starting not to like almost 500whp even though it now has a translator. Base pressure was 40 on this car. |
