Exhaust is done.

3.5 after the flex section. 2x Dynomax Bullet 3.5 resonators, 1 Borla XR-1 3.5 muffler, 3.5 to 4.5 stainless tip.

Sounds really good.

Beautiful! Why the flex section? Don't you have poly motor mounts?

I have Prothane inserts in the front and rear torsion mounts, but I actually shimmed the front mount (timing belt area) with additional rubber stoppers from Mitsu to limit movement which works well. Having three of those rubber stopper shims on the front side and one on the rear side is really tight. I'd just rather be safe than sorry, the flex section is not causing a restriction. It has internal webbing just like the outside so the flow is not seeing the shape of the flex section.

How did you determine that you needed 2 resonators? Or any at all?? And when am I gonna see this thing in person again??

The Borla was the main reason I looked at having two resonators. My Apex-i N1 system got considerably louder with the new turbo swap and it came with two resonators. Moving up to 3.5 inches was going to be even louder with the straight thru muffler. I liked the N1 system's tone and sound level, so I decided to duplicate the component list. By no means is the car quiet now, it's still pretty loud at idle and on acceleration with a deep throaty tone, but once I level out in 5th gear at cruise speeds, you barely hear or feel any exhaust. On my old Spyder I had a bad resonance problem right at cruise speed which drove me crazy, just didn't want it to happen to me again.

I'll be around, trust me. ;)

so are you trying to make the car more street friendly??? I think I might have seen a pic of your car but it looked full drag with a side turbo.

I sure hope that thing runs better than a 10.78. But hell, what am I saying, I hope mine rings out that time or better this year.

Well I'll be busy this weekend starting my new intercooler set-up. Hopefully I'll get it finished this weekend. I'll be moving my MAFT to blow-thru and the whole system will be an upgrade over the GReddy 24R. Wish me luck, hahahahaha.

Nice, what mas WERE you running? I'm almost wondering if I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get a MAFT to keep my Tial BOV. Poo.

He was doing MAF-T in suck-through setup :D

MAF-T is nice, I like it for the fact that you get to use a real BOV like the Tial. On the flip side, it can cause its own problems, so its a tough call over a 2G/evo MAS.

I'm just going to move my 3.5 GM MAF from in front of the turbo to in front of the throttle body, but behind my new Tial BOV. :)

I used to have tuning issues, but once I disconnected the RPM wire and set the MAFT curve to "0" they went away. I use DSMLink to adjust the airflow curve and fuel mixture, runs and drives like stock. :spin:

Did adding a second muffler/silencer to the 3.5" exhaust quiet it down a bit? I'm tempted to add another muffler to mine as well, it's a little loud for a daily driver.

I never had the opportunity to try it with only one, when we built the system I just stuck both in, basically just built a much better version of my N1 system. I can definately say it's loud enough at idle and WOT that I can't see me ever thinking about taking one back out. What is really nice is that at cruise speed where the engine has leveled out, you can barely hear the exhaust, if any at all. That 3.5 inch set-up really sounds "hollow" at idle, blip the throttle and you know somebody's leg hair just got burned off.
