Well another update. Got the head back from the machine shop a while back and got everything back onto it. Got my head studs friday nite. Tonite I got the head and the intake on. Now I just have to get all the small crap on, do the timing belt, put on the exhaust manifold and fill the fluids. Hopefully I will get further tomorrow. Should be able to finish up most of it tomorrow. I just need to be able to find all the bolts that I have laying all over the place.

About damn time! :stick:

Finding random bolts is the most fun anyone can have while working on a car.

The nice part is, this time I can have left over bolts and not worry about where they go. I removed a bunch of stuff while I was in there.

I went out and worked on it a little more tonite. All I have left is to find the some injector clips for it, get a gasket for the throttlebody, hook up the throttlebody, hook up a few electrical connectors, put on the valve cover, hook up the plug wires, fill the fluids, put in the ac fan, put the timing belt on, bolt all the rest of the crap on and fire her up. If I can find the parts, I may have it running tomorrow, but I highly doubt it.

It's running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got her up and running tonite at about 9:30pm. She started right up as soon as I turned the key. I was so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got my baby back, baby back, baby back........

Sorry. Went off on a tangent there. :dsmrule: :bounce:

Have you performed any sacrificial rituals to help please the timing belt gods?

Kracka 03-22-2004 11:18 AM

If anyone cares I found a place that puts a lifetime warranty on timing belts. 0-60,000 miles if the belt breaks ALL damages are covered, 60,001-lifetime just the belt is covered.
