Yeah Aaron, it's surprising that nobody has come up with a less expensive solution. Drag (acceleration) and 1g turns/braking have the same effect. |

I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, but I can kinda explain if u are curious its so simple.

Actually I was sleeping:) C and C time! See you guys at the dyno day.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog
Dyno vid today...dynojet numbers...confirming that the estimates were pretty damn close. I didn't run my power tune until the second run (tried the DD tune first), so I probably would've been another 5whp or so closer to my original shootout guess of 583, still 570 is pretty damn good i think.
My DD tune pulled 525 whp! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QP7_Z5tBseQ&hd=1 |

^As I told swifty in person, no chicks worth mentioning, there has been some but I have made better choices before, lol.
On the topic of my car...still running awesome...the new magnus clutch master cylinder needs a bleed I think, it dropped to the floor today and I got worried but it popped back up with some help. Also as I was out sick again today...I had a chance to drive around to get my damn TPMS light fixed...Discount tire still 5 months later can't program them so they paid for the dealer to do it, only $60. Regardless, I now have a dash with no lights! Woo. |
Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog

^You look grumpy!
I bet it's because you know how badly your downpipe and exhaust manifold are holding you back. Man...you should just sell those ASAP so you can turn that frown upside-down ;) |
Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog
So at lunch just now I finally figured, time to give the track tune a test, temps weren't cold at all so I figured it should be ok...
Lots O knock according to my Knock CEL, fast flashing too, I let off pretty quick :( I need to stop by DB tonight to check a possible oil leak and get the clutch bleed again too so I will talk it over with Shane. I am not sure how scared I am supposed to be of the knock I am seeing. Ps...this car is damn near impossible to keep in boost between shifts, maybe I am doing it wrong, but i would love some NLTS! |

I mean just the ambient temp is very cold. I know I have a MAF, but it seems to be knocking a fair amount...the DD tune during the day seems solid though. I was simply implying that maybe the error correction being turned off has something to do with it. I am going to be at DB later so i will talk it over with the master. Maybe we can log it too. |
Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog
Did Shane mention where your IDCs were at with the 1400's? I'd assume there's a fair bit of headroom remaining. I'm just curious if the 1300's would be enough for an E98 tune on a Black.
I wait until my car is at full temp, which is half-way on that temp gauge. |

I believe Shane before said that 1400's were good for 540whp on his dyno, roughly. |

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog
I just checked your log from the dyno day, ~82% IDC at 7500rpm and ~87% IDC at 8886rpm. 2 counts of knock @ 2900rpm on one pull, i.e. nothing.
