Re: Dave's Evo X Build

Forgot to post this here:

This is going to be announced shortly to the public officially, but please don't go posting this on EvoM or anything...just keep it here for the time being.

I just wanted to share with you guys my plans:

Here is what I got back from Robert over at FP:

Between you me and the fencepost, we are planning on having X blacks ready very soon. Same airflow and power specs as the blacks for the 9's. Aniel can write up your order for one if you are interested. It's not exactly a production piece yet, so lets try and keep it under our hats for now :) Delivery is within the next 3 weeks.

R

So I think this has decided my path for me...65 lb/min anyone :)

:)

I hope people here and EvoMN can keep it on the hush for a few weeks.

I will hopefully be ordering it later this week...preferably sending in my FPred to get turned into a black, even if it's been damaged hopefully they can fix it for cheaper.

Thanks :)

I doubt i will be the first one...but pretty close for getting the FPblack on the X up and running.

Goal is 500whp for initial tune...then 550whp when i really turn it up. On shane's dyno of course.

Crap dude. I assume the beater and not one of your father's cars?

My beater has a Blue Book of like $0 so I hope that doesn't happen to me.

Trunk won't shut, bumper is almost falling off, nothing too terrible, but still a pain in the ass...

Oh and a pain in my neck...my neck really doesn't feel good right now. I think i might take a half day of work to just go figure shit out.

Chiropractor + massage therapy. I've been going since my accident and it does wonders. I used to visit a chiropractor in downtown Hopkins and he was great, even brought us beers to drink once in a while; let me know if you want a referral.

Can a 65lb/min turbo really hit 550 on Shanes dyno?

Congrats on getting things figured out though! Should be a pretty darn fun car

I ended up having like 6-8 weeks of weekly massages at a chiropracter's office after I was rear-ended at a good speed. If you aren't a lot better in a day then definitely see someone.

Maybe. That recent race car was a stroker and did 530 on a Black with a mild tune.

Knowing Dave he'll be running 40psi on it.

So I thought about doing it myself, but.....you should talk to robert about making an hta86 version of the black. :)

Will that fit in the housing?

It wasn't too fast, maybe 15mph if i had to guess (tops).

I will wait it out a day for sure, im not one to complain about pain typically, it is just pretty stiff right now.

The FPblack road race car made 520whp at 31psi.

I will probably be running 32psi for the first tune, and then yes, crank it up to 38 or so ;)

I suppose if you rev out then you could get close to the output of a stroker. It'll be interesting to see.
