Looks like an oil squirter. They go on the bottom side of the cylinder in the block and squirt oil at the bottom of the piston to cool it.

Well, just a quick update for those that didn't see the car on the flatbed at the dyno day when we pulled it in.

It's now at DB and that will be it's resting place for the time being. I spoke with Danny a bit and it sounded like he was thinking 2 weeks before the motor got pulled and then we could diagnose it and order parts.

The waiting begins...

Re: Dave's Evo X Build

2-3 grand.

Basically the biggest thing is something decent in snow and more or less as reliable as a car can get for that price.

Honda's fit pretty well into that category.

yeah, if not i know a 97 blazer with new tires and tune up for 2700 has 140k miles i think or 98 sunfire gt for 1300, new clutch, tires, brakes 4cyl 5 spd.
PM me so we don't wreck your thread.

New Whip

Check it out, woo woo!

http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...6/fee64152.jpg

Rocking this for the foreseeable future.

The awesome thing...there is a bunch of maintenance things that need to be done and i need new front rotors/pads, pretty much all fluids tons of gaskets, new axels etc etc.

My mechanic buddy got me a quote and the list was long and i was like, damn it this is going to suck, probably like 1000 worth of parts...it was like 150 bucks, shit for this car is so damn cheap, lol. And my buddy is going to help me fix it all in my garage next weekend, so it should run like a champ after that :)

Re: Dave's Evo X Build

Update:

haven't had much to report yet since DB has been swamped, but..Danny called me late last night (those guys are working crazy hours) and said he was in the process of moving my car over to the "work on it" side since they now have a free lift. Danny said he had a hoist going by it and in the morning they would start in on it. So motor should be out in the next few days and we can get this thing moving!

Re: Dave's Evo X Build

They called me late last night as well to let me know my car was done and coming off the lift, probably the same one lol.

Hope everything goes smooth with the new motor.
